Babul..this entity figures in my life, in three different roles..first,
the biological father..then the Spiritual Guru…and then the Divinity
HImself, whom we all seek….this poem is addressed to all three forms
of the same entity….while it does not fulfil the requirements of the
Poetry form…i leave it without editing, lest the essence be lost..

when I first woke up  to this world..

to the blinding sunshine around me

to the cacophony of noises

that baffled me…

to the long path ahead of me….

ur re-assuring kiss on my forehead,

did help me open mine eyes ..

i had my first glimpse of the world

u held my little hands in urs

the warmth frm ur heart, flowing into mine

weened me frm that other world, into urs…

evr so close to ur heart hv u held me ever since….

walked with me

every little step

till little by little,

did i start running, the race that is life….

not once looking back..

secure in the knowledge

that ur eyes followed me everywhere…

many a times did I trip

u cheered me up..

till I did get up…

when wounds ravaged my heart

and my soul screamed with pain..

it was ur chest that afforded me a place

to  rest my weary head

ur laughter rang out loudest

when u danced  to the tune my heart sang

filling our  world with music….

that gave me wings to fly….

high up did I soar…

with wild  ecstacy, exploring the skies….

till I met that divinity,

whose expression u are..

now I rest my weary soul

once again, in ur arms…

that u may lay ur hand upon mine

and   calm the storm within

the lava seeks its way out..

to empty me of its heat

i need you more than ever, now

for u r my sole refuge

 the eternal bliss I find , at ur feet……

is nowhere else to be found

here it is I shall rest awhile..

till  ur loving embrace shall ever so gently

 lead me to  the Source, frm whence I came

well, I see Rediff is still chugging along ……chugging along I say,…..with a certain nostalgia, for what it once was………what did Siddhesh achieve, is one big Question that still plagues the mind……the old atmosphere to which we eagerly returned from whatever kept us busy…now , one comes here n finds it a barren land….deserted……the friends have all shifted to fb…….but one must admit fb is fb……rediff was well, ..rediff…!!……..it was a family to which we all came back at the end of the day……each of us with our own brand of comedies, tragedies…and yet it was like we enjoyed every bit of it together……..there was Akhtaar Rizwi , Shekhar Bhatttacharya, Sureshchandra Gupta, Hari Om Chawla, Iveenia, Pradeep Sharma, , Shiny Vikas, Hina Tiwari, Manju, Manasi.., Ramesh Agnisharma, Tom Abraham, Budhoose K,Moe, Rudra,Rahul , Vishal Arora, Pradeep J Berry, Raees… Ben……ofcourse Ben is coming back I guess…..the list is endless…..i would never feel my blog complete without a visit frm these friends…oh I meet some of them on fb now n then, but it is not the same……will such days as those ever come back??..

ke bhi kya kehne…
bahut kuch dikha jaathi hai zindagi…….
indradhanush ka nazaara ,
aasmaanon mein sajaakar
har rang se humein waaquif kara dethi hai,
zindagi……

shaam ki sheetal hawaayein ,
humaare
aanchal ko hai leheraane lagtheen..
kuch pal yun hi madhosh,
madh-mast hokar, hum panchiyon sang , hain gun-gunaane lag
jaathe …

I normally avoid controversial topics on the blog….since it is never my aim to rake up controversies…….but I admit i am very much into this study of metaphysics and the like…….and would like to share, now and then  what I come across…..so here are two videos I’d like to share….

like the soft cool breeze of the grove,
after scalding  heat waves
of the desert……

like calm tranquil shores………..
after a raging tempest…

like the  fresh reassuring dawn,

after a fearful thunderous black night…
like sweet , soft music to
the ears…
after the shrill deafening sounds of the market -place..

with
weary feet and heavy tread
having scaled vales and dales
and 
surfaced from deep waters ,
to flounder on gory rocks
now that my
soul thus yearns for rest

and the spirit seeks to flee from the rigmarole
of the trappings of
life..

U my friend..
like the soft cool breeze of the grove…
like
calm tranquil shores..
like the fresh reassuring dawn..
like
sweet soft music to the ears…

U walk with me…..
a few miles ……
an unknown journey
indeed…
solitary yes, but not alone…
neither destination nor
pathways…
fellow travellers ………
now walking, now stopping
to
rest awhile…under shady trees..

laughter ringing loud in the air, sometimes….
and bouncing back
from the clouds above…
is it rain-drops or tears ,
trickling
down ur cheeks and mine..
no matter……indeed it does not matter…

 weary
and exhausted,

 when we do sit side by side..
 and I lay  my head
 upon ur
shoulder, thus……
 the peace that fills me, from deep within…
 is not of this
world…..
 indeed it is …..
 of the seven worlds, my friend…
 of the seven worlds……
 and beyond………
