Abhay Sudhakar : Namaskar & congratulation for this venture.Please tell us about your early life , education etc.
Sukhpalji : Namaskar Abhayji, welcome.I was born on 09-10-1942.Born & brought up at Durg itself.I did my schooling from Mahatma Gandhi school Durg.I did my graduation in arts from Govt. Science college durg.After giving some thoughts I entered into transportation business.I came into Tanker’s business with Caltex in 1959-60.Then the business started to grow gradually & I never looked back.Then by the passage of time I discovered that there is lot of scope in chemical transportation in Bhilai Steel Plant.Then I simultaneously came into this business also.Here also I registered good growth.Now Iam having fleet of 37 tankers & this business is still going very well.
Abhay Sudhakar : Please tell us about your family.
Sukhpalji : Abhayji I got married to Devinder kaur on 27-02-1967 in Calcutta.She has been very supportive & co-operative with me. I really feel lucky to have such a nice life-partner. We have 2 sons & 1 daughter.Sons are very hard working.Iam very happy to have such nice helping hands.Actually I purchased this land at Malviya nagar nearly 30 years back.Now my sons also doing very well in managing our business I thought of diversification.I decided to utilise this place & thus thought of entering into hotel industry.Iam very happy to see such a nice hotel has comeup in this place.Its a matter of joy for every one involved with this project.
Abhay Sudhakar : Tell us about the hotel.
Sukhpalji : HOTEL THE AVALON is well eqipped.It has total 33 rooms & that includes standard rooms,exclusive rooms & suite rooms.It has gymnasium, muti-cuisine restaurant, banquet hall, coffee-shop & all other amenities which a luxury hotel should have.A garden restaurant is also in pipe-line.
Abhay Sudhakar : What is the future of hotel industry,especially in Durg district?
Sukhpalji : Very bright, indeed. Here I would like to add that our hotel will do very well in coming years.Iam confident that by the grace of GURUNANAKDEVJI I will be able to open some more hotels in the future & thus make a successful chain.My sons are also very talented in business & my work force is also very hard working.So the improvement will definitely be on.
Abhay Sudhakar : Sir, one final question.What’s your message to the Indian youths, the real future of India.
Sukhpalji : They should work hard, be focused & have positive outlook.They should not cry for jobs. After getting proper training,confidence & experience they should start their own ventures.Own venture gives immense satisfaction.
