Europe opposes Turkey as an Islamic nation: Foreign Policy of Turkey-13

None can object to Turkey being an Islamic state in principles and practices to help Muslims live as Muslims and none can have illusions about Turkey giving up its Islamic path. If, however, anyone day drams about Turkey imbibing anti-Islamic cultural traits, it is their own fault.
As per their party program and poll pledge, the Islamist-rooted ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) government is introducing Koran lessons. EU diplomats who never criticized the anti-Islamic mooring so a few European nations in restricting Islamic faith by introducing laws , are now quickly expressing growing concern at what they see as the increasingly pro-Islamic stance taken by Turkey’s government under the Islamists.
For instance, introduction of much delayed Quran studies in public schools is resented by the anti-Islamic Europe trying to discredit Muslims for upholding Islamic faith and also to defame Islam. Other measures include lowering the age at which parents can send their children to Islamic religious schools, increasing pressure on those criticizing Islam and restricting abortion.
What causes serious worry for anti-Islamic elements in Turkey and aboard is growing popularity of Islamic learning and ruing party that promotes that. They unnecessarily feel threatened because from the end of primary school, more parents will be able to opt out of the secular education system and send their children to Islamic religious schools.
As the modern Turkey is going ahead with its Islamic identity program in a big way, the anti-Islamic elements have got no options to obstruct this. Their concern is over plans by state broadcaster TRT to launch a religious channel and proposals for prayer rooms in newly built public buildings such as creches, theatres and even opera houses.
“The media are for the most part directly or indirectly controlled by the AKP and the opposition is powerless,” the diplomat said, but they do not oppose the anti-Islamic media in the West harming the genuine interests of global Muslims.
Plans to restrict the abortion laws and other moves that critics say will would make Islam a more visible part of daily life are added areas of concern. Turkey is preparing a bill to slash the time limit for abortions from 10 weeks to between four and six weeks. Thousands of women who care a damn about Islam and look up to the West for guidance have demonstrated against the proposed changes, defending the existing abortion law, which dates back to 1965. The anti-Islamic Muslims by doing so directly aid the enemies of Islam.
The ruling AKP is committed to Islam. Erdogan has just announced that a giant mosque is to be built on one of Istanbul’s most hills, which will become one of the city’s most visible landmarks. This latest announcement on top of the other developments have been seized on by the critics of Erdogan and the AKP, who “suspect” the government has a covert agenda to promote Islam — and undermine Turkey’s secular traditions.
Islam is insulted in non-Islamic world, but doing it in a Muslim nation is too much. Turkey’s acclaimed composer and pianist Fazil Say faces trial in October on charges of insulting religious values in a series of provocative tweets about Islam. If convicted, he could face up to only 18 months in prison.
Turkish authorities accuse the so-called Ergenekon network of being behind several plots to overthrow the AKP government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan had said of abortion: “You either kill a baby in the mother’s womb or you kill it after birth. There’s no difference.”

Europe interferes in the domestic affairs of Turkey.
One can easily presume the cause for West to oppose Islamic states. Europe opposes Turkey as an Islamic nation for EU entry reason. All EU gimmicks to coerce the Turkey regime to give up Islam and return to western brand of liquor-sex “civilization” have failed to move the Turks to abandon Islam and imbibe the western deformed culture.
