We live with it and we can still have a good time :)) Anyway, thanks for adding me as a favorite, but maybe if you don't agree with me and think of my ideas as not too great (being diplomatic :))) you can remove me as a favorite, I wouldn't mind. I will keep dropping by, Mate. I am against extortion, and for "baksheesh". My argument was that most people confuse the two and club them as bribery. Many people in India say, "we should kill both the bribe giver and taker". But what if it is done voluntarily? I addressed the "why salaries" objection in the post itself, and your other objections in the comments section. I am not saying these are "necessary evils"; I am just pointing out the impossiblity of survival without corruption in politics, and the financial suffering associated with it in conventional society. I am of course against anything that involves force (ref: my "ethics simplified"), so I wouldn't support rape or child molestation. As for me being immature and simplistic, well thats a personal opinion, and I have not much to say about it. I was just trying to come up workable solutions. Besides, I don't think things are as correct and obvious as many people think. Sunshine, I think I must improve my presentation of ideas. I am against extortion, and for “baksheesh”. [ For eg. 1. a person who has never seen a TV / heard about it / about wireless communication, would think it a great mystery. ) U say there is no mystery in it , as much as i ,as a student of astrology say there is no mystery in astrology. This part of ur post about the dog was very interesting . . . its something that iv e never heard. Have heard of many skills of the dog , but never this. In that sense .... meaning what at the human level cant be undestood ... i meant mysticism . But thanks for responding. Sheila Well Sunshine,

BUT it may go some way towards cleansing myself internally of this pollution. I am internally polluted by my dependence on a variety of external things for my daily life. I am comparable to a person who likes starting having a cocktail of 'good-mood' drugs several times a day in order to just function. Or to a guy who needs to inhale oxygen direct from a tube several times a day just to feel normal. I have all sorts of dependencies... I can't even start naming them clearly because it is so much an inseparable part of me! So my little acts (like bathing with cold water, giving up sugar and artificial sweeteners, consciously walking home from the station instead of taking a rickshaw) are aimed at recovering my own freedom from my habitual behaviours. Of course they won't solve the CO2 problem! Warmly, Krish (-continued-)

Each one as an indivivual is like an ant when earth is taken as a whole. So selling your car will definately not solve the issue of CO2 emmision." Well Sunny guy, I do take your question about selling my car as a valid point. I shall indeed take it to heart. Because in the context of Global Warming, our enemy is not someone else out there, but our own selves. So we must introspect and direct our actions inwards... otherwise it will all be so much empty talk and no action. We will all keep pointing our fingers at one another. Yes, I am part of this whole thing, this syndrome. I hope to muster the vision to see it with clarity. And I hope to grow the inner strength and conviction needed to tear myself away from it.
