1 day after Republic
Hi,
I was just writing on a non indian website. Once i had written the title, it hit me, its sutiable for here alone. - 1 day after republic.
We are a republic. A country. INDIA. I love this land.
How does it feel to be a part of India. Since childhood, i have been given the distinction to see the part of real world. I was fortunate to not to be there during the floods of bihar. I was not so lucky to know how the country was growing in banglore or mumbai. But i do could see that things were changing, meeting my cousins who were fluent in english, while i was still learning to stabilize my pace of speaking. But yes, india was changing, this i could understand.
As per MLK’s words, yes, we have been fortunate to be born on this land at this time, we have had the fortune of knowing a world which are undreamt ever. I know, the real world, the real pleasures of life are still a cloud for us all. For some even food is a far away cloud.
This question has always spanked me- if everything is going great, why is not everybody doing the same way. For years, i have heard the explanations, i still get to hear the same, when i interect with the same kind of people. It is because they are lazy, it is because they are not ready, it is because someone is not working right, somebody up the ladder is not doing correct. Some say this is the way capitalism works. I doubted there words then. Today, i don’t even pay attension. I want to write, they are wrong.
Those who keep on saying that the world went wrong due to capitalism, let me remind them of the india that was, ultra rich verses bonded labour. Godly Bhramins verses untouchables. It was us not some US. If the same was the case: how many of us could imagine a cheap way to speak with the daughter a 1000 kilometers away.
I don’t say what has happened around is great, sweat shops in indonesia, the genocides in Darfur, Uganda, Bolivia, Dead economies of zimbabwe, liberia, sudan. Cultural and natural depletion of great amazon cultures, DR congo, egypt. All have also been a part of the regime.
” Don’t spend your life counting the weeds, sow the seeds, grow the grains. a land with crop is alway better then a barren land without weeds.”
That is a message which i dare to spread, don’t just count the weeds, grow on your land. Dont use the medicines which will not let the bad grow, but feed it with fruits which will help us grow more, grow the eatables.
It has been proved again-n-again, india does not grow less, it does not have less man power, it does not have no drinking water, it does not suffer with lack of resources. It has everything, but it’s people lack everything. I do not have the answers, i don’t even indent to do so. I intend to do my job. I intend to do my work, my machines, my equipments and my words. Answers- we have produces several, remember your school, college- anything that has the key words earns marks, anything that gets you the final answe is correct. There are marks even if you just get the answers. Write long answers, write useful only at starting and at the end, highlight was is correct and right anything anywhere. I remember, i don’t know if all were taught the same, but i was. I dare to not to believe them. I dare to change. I have lost a lot doing so. But i have found a world better always, i do have been allowed by god to know some man who beleive like me, work not like it was taught in school. I have met people and they are the happiest men i have seen till this time.
Times will change for us all, they will for me. But i dream a new world, a world, where i will have a better look at myself, where i can dare to smile and say good morning to anybody i meet on a street without fear. And i am asured that one day we will live in a world where people will have the right to love and and the right to freedom. I love my machines and love my country.
Jai Hind.
