riding in the rain
“making laws to change the world. a law to protect it, a law to make it a better place.” we are very good at making laws. now we are about to make a law to account of them who enact the law. one of the only democratic nations which supports real freedom is now ready to curb it too.
fighting corruption is what is aimed at, making judiciary accountable is what is being told as the reason behind it. a law. i wonder once it is done who will actually give justice. who will actually dare to give justice.
i agree we have faults, i agree we commit mistakes and there are unpardonable delays but at least we are free. atleast there is a judiciary which can be trusted with providing justice. once you find them with your accountability bill, well, the corrupt will go on, for they are protected, but what will happen to the honest and dedicated? there would be none to protect them. the lion who had the strength to protect will be left to growl from behind the bars.
let us be clear what we intend at. a government is respected as long as it shows vision, let that vision rise above compulsions.
