As India celebrates the victory of Abhinav Bindra, one question arises in my mind…whose efforts lie beyond the success of Abhinav Bindra? Is it the country’s efforts? Na…it is his father’s pocket, family support and Abhinav’s practice and his training from abroad…..Abhinav’s father is an industrialist, who had the power to set up a shooting range in the premises of his residence and send his son for training to Germany. This states that our government’s sports infrastructure is not adequate. You can make it to the top only if you have a sound financial backing or power….

We may have numerous Abhinav Bindra’s in our country but not all of them are born to industrialists….Our government must definitely do something for the budding sportsmen and women of India.
