the festival of colours is back in my backyard.

numerous wishes float in my heart,

for the near & dear one’s;

radha will be dancing with colour spray of abheer powder

in Lord Krishnas’ embrace;

the small palanquins carrying radha & krishna

will arrive my village;

from across the bordering villages

on the fateful night,

my villagers will dance dances of ecstacy,

their heart & soul lost in the myriad colours;

my soul drenched with colours of the festival,

as the morning arrives,

a conglomeration of celebrities celebrating the festival

in my village,

young to old everyone will be drenched with the coloured waters,

to be sent with their disguises hiding beneath the colours,

every soul clasping the other with joy,

it is the festival of joy.

joy joy joy only joy in every body’s heart.

may joy & happyness reign the country.
