Oh Life…My Lord…

Re Atman, nidra pari hari;

Oh my soul, waking up from slumber;

Fedi chintara lochan kara kara nirikhyan,

Looking into your visual imagination,

just keep watching;

nisabde jivan srota dhaunchi kipari;

how solitarily the course of life passing away;

vetibaku mrutyusindhu karala lahari;

to meet the deadly tides of the death sea;

Re Atman, Oh my soul wake up from slumber;

Ki begare jau achhi chali,

how swifly the pulse of life rushing away,

veti baku mrutyu sindhu karala lahari

to meet the deadly tides in its quest for death;

sei srota sange misi, jivanar sabu rasi;

melting into those currents of the tides; all the moments of life

how swiftly passing away, to meet the ocean of oblivion;

to attain the bliss of salvation;

melt into sublimity to attain sublime hood.
