Hello and I hope I’m not bothering you, but can you please tell me what something means. We received a wedding invitation and the words at the top are as follows: II Shri Ganeshay Namah II. Can you tell me what this means. I would really appreciate it and thank you so much.

yaar, ‘ happy’ bhi bolta hai aur ‘married’ bhi bolta hai. how can u be so self contradictory in such a short statement ?? just kidding ; )
yup, bachelor ho yaa married, sitting up late in the office, for the sake of being in the office is DEFINATELY harmful, both to the organisation and the individual.

(-continued-) Any kind of large-scale manufacturing activity means expending energy on a large scale, which involves burning fossil fuels, either at the factory itself or at some thermal power plant.

It also means large-scale transportation to the markets, which again involves burning fossil fuels.

Fossil fuels were formed through geological processes that happened over millions of years, when giant trees or some other organisms grew, died, got buried and got trapped under layers of rock that formed over them.

And each year, we merrily take those hydrocarbons out and burn them to manufacture all sorts of stuff — some that we need, but a lot that we really don’t NEED — like keychains and trinkets and PET bottles.

When we are done with this part of the discussion, I will be most happy to tell you about the scarcity of fresh water resources (in India & the world), which we are both quandering and polluting merrily with chemicals.

    Warmly,
    Krish

Apropos your comment: ‘You well read guys can answer better - what percentage of all of Earths resoruces are we counting as ”natural resoruces?”…surely most of the water on the planet is untapped…awaiting innovation to use it …im not an advocate of growth…and consumption will deplete whatever is available…understand that…but pt is we just need to reconsider our approach..and readjust…not necessarirly reverse…’

Amit, every shred of what is on earth is a natural resource, even stuff that are called ’synthetic’ or ‘plastic’. Plastics are made from petrochemicals, metals are made from mined ores, glass is made from refined sand etc etc.

Humans can only change the form and chemical/physical properties of all sorts of stuff through manufacturing processes; they cannot create any stuff out of ‘nothing’.
