This Spring, Nine West, a division of Jones Apparel Group and Nordstrom will celebrate their partnership with an event series showcasing a specially designed Nine West footwear collection. The fashion showcase will be hosted by Nine West Creative Director, Fred Allard, ELLE magazine and ‘Gossip Girl’ costume designer and author, Eric Daman. Mr. Allard and Mr. Daman will travel to select Nordstrom locations to promote the new collection beginning in April.
The collection will feature 17 different footwear styles and will be available at Nordstrom stores, beginning in February. “Eric Daman and I are thrilled to be hosting these special events at select Nordstrom stores this spring,” says Mr. Allard. “We look forward to meeting Nordstrom customers and celebrating the new Nine West collection.”
In honor of this partnership, participating Nordstrom locations will showcase the new collection with Mr. Allard and Mr. Daman giving the insider scoop on essential styling tips and the hottest spring trends. Attendees will also enjoy ‘mocktails,’ snacks, music and other special treats. “Fashion should be accessible,” says Mr. Daman. “Real women love to incorporate luxury items with chic, affordable ones; it is all about mixing it up. Nine West continues to offer that style at a great price. I am looking forward to working with Fred Allard to bring fresh ideas on fashion and styling to Nordstrom customers.”
Eric Daman is the creative fashion force behind the hit CW show “Gossip Girl,” for which he has received much recognition for his work including the cover of the New York Times. Prior to that, he was the assistant designer to famed stylist, Patricia Field on the Emmy winning team for “Sex and The City.” His first book, You Know You Want It: Style –Inspiration—Confidence, was published in December, 2009.
Nine West Creative Director, Fred Allard, has been with the company since 2006. Before moving back to America, he took the Parisian design scene by storm, serving as Stephane Kelian’s chief designer and then as the front man for the French luxury brand, Castaner. Mr. Allard continues to lend his talent and vision to elevate the branded footwear, handbag and jewelry divisions of Nine West.
