Ryder Cup putt sporting diamond-patterned Glenmuir line

Inspired by the designs that propelled the European team to Ryder Cup glory, Glenmuir launches its Spring/Summer 2011 collection today with the message: diamonds are forever.

Millions of golf fans around the world watched as Graeme McDowell rolled in the winning Ryder Cup putt sporting a diamond-patterned Glenmuir sweater – and diamonds feature in no less than 12 products in the Lanark, Scotland company’s latest seasonal collection.

In all, Glenmuir introduces more than 40 exciting new garments for Spring/Summer including significant additions to its innovative Performance Shirtsrange, new filigree embroidered Ladies golfwear, leather belts for the first time and a new capsule Junior collection.

And as well as some stunning and striking new shirt and knitwear designs, Glenmuir has injected a riot of colour with bright Mango, electric Kingfisher blue and Hot Pink featuring across the board to appeal directly to the fashion-conscious golfer.

Seven new Men’s Luxury and Men’s Classic shirts make their debut, Clunie, Foss, Tummel, Ralia, Atholl, Tomatin and Garvald, and golfers can choose from a total of 17 shirt designs in those categories.

The phenomenal popularity of Glenmuir Men’s Performance Shirts, featuring hi-tech fabrics, sees the introduction of five new shirts, Jackson, Vardon, Condor, Eagle and Ambrose, with the Spey cardigan and Culcairn sleeveless slipover to offer co-ordinating performance knitwear.

Ambrose, for example, features the new Coolplus moisture-wicking system, while the diamond-patterned Eagle provides outstanding UV protection as Glenmuir continues to enhance its reputation for giving golfers the ultimate in sports fabric technology.
