Responsibility

Most people dread accepting responsibility. That’s just a fact of life, and we can see it in operation every day. Yes, we can see avoidance of responsibility all the time in both our personal and professional lives. And here’s something else we can see just as often: we can see that most people aren’t as successful as they wish they were. Do you see there is a connection between these two very common phenomena?

I feel, yes there definitely is a connection between accepting responsibility for the good and bad that goes on in ones life to the degree of success in that person's life.

It’s in our best interest to take responsibility for everything we do. But that’s only the beginning. Many times it’s even best to take responsibility for the mistakes of others, especially when we are in a managerial or leadership role.

I’ve always felt that accepting responsibility is one of the highest forms of human maturity. A willingness to be accountable, to put our self on the line, is really the defining characteristic of adulthood.

So friends, let us accept responsibility and soar to new heights in life .

Its true that you should not avoid responsibility, but symultaneously it should be kept in mind that anyone can”t take disadvantage or wrong message out of that.

I fully agree with you Bash. Nice topic.
Passing the buck is our biggest weakness. May this as roots are our attitude towards work expressed in colloquial terms like “Chalta hai”, “Maaf kardo”, “Sab khuda ka haat me hai” etc.. We shoudl overcome the “centralization” ideology and learn to delegate responsibility and authority along with performance/ non-performance rewards and punishment at all levels. It is a big pandora box… Yes, it has to be opened to correct ourself…
