To say that we write blogs on rediffiland to express our emotions is like saying we work for pleasure. If we work for pleasure then why “Thank God its Friday” is a standard business term?

We all work for money and we all write blogs to get comments. I wish to mix both of them i.e. write blogs to get rich but google adsense has denied me this opportunity by stating that they don’t support crap.

It has been a long time I have written a blog. Hence, I was surprised to receive a comment on my blog a couple of days back. Yesterday, I reached office, opened rediffiland and read the comment - Already read this article. Its not ur blog. The comment made me exuberant. Wow!!! Now I am sure that some people are reading my blogs, moreover someone copies my blogs and here is the toast. Someone remembers what I have written.
I googled and found my post named procrastination dated 4 July 2008 is included by Mahesh in his blog on 9 September 2008. I am sorry to inform you guys but Mahesh has bagged the honour of officially being my first fan.
To sum up
I stopped blogging due to the lack of creativity but abundance of plagiarism has brought me back.

Mightier than wisdom

Most of my acquaintances consider me as a warm, charming guy with a sweet smile. Few of these acquaintances go on to become friends and then they consider me as an emotionless egomaniac. The girl sitting next to me has accused me several times of missing her existence. If some of my files are found on her desk that doesn’t mean I think she is having a day off. It just means that I have a small workstation.

Today I got a perfect chance to acknowledge her and her existence. As she walked into office, I sprang up from my chair, greeted her and said, “You are not washed your top, haven’t you?” My previous experience dictated that my acknowledgement usually made people laugh and cry at the same time. Few people have been so overwhelmed by my acknowledgment that they have decided to indulge only in the latter. But this was the first instance that I found someone launching into a refutation of my acknowledgement.

She was surprised and but showed it as dismay and said, “How do you know that?” I told her that,” I can bet that you have worn this top a few days ago and then put in your closet and today wore it again. It is a simple input/output logic. There is no need to insert a variable called process into it.”

She told me to get lost and immediately walked away from her workstation. She was back after a few minutes with testimonials from her three friends. They confirmed that I was wrong and she looked wonderful. Poor non-late-night-TV watching mortals. Life is so clear when you wear specks.

The day passed away quickly without any attempt from my side to acknowledge her presence and the same effort from her side. As she was leaving I tried to end the day on a happy note and told her,”There is something I wanted to tell you since lunch” .She enquired what is it about. I told her, “It is about your top”. She asked me to get lost and walked away from office.

She left before I could say to her,”You think I am an egomaniac because I don’t care for your top. I think you are a swellhead when you fail to notice that I am wearing the same jeans for the last 3 days?”

To sum up

When it comes to dressing, public opinion is mightier than wisdom.
