you were absolutly right, under normal circumstances if i was redundant i would be thrown out the office when i refuse to go. that rule applies to all employees in Australia but not to contractors. i am a self employed consultant, if i am willing to offer free services to a company who needs it, i think no one would say no. of course, they can still throw me out anytime they like!

One day a Fishermen got up very early! There wasn’t enought sunlight for him to get into the sea. He saw a pack of stones. To pass time he start to throw the stones one by one into the sea. When the sun came up he saw that the last stone in his hand was a diamond! He felt for his misfortune!
Moral of the Story: Don’t get up early!
Oh sad to hear that…..! you must be working really hard hence this back pain!
If you aren’t comfortable with your sitting chair then you should change it… coz that is the main thing you get the back ache from (I comprehended this from ma own experience).
And 1 thing your recent write-up wasn’t that long as far as it was so interesting! And as m a regular reader of your blog, I knew it gotta be cool!

Hmmmmmmmm Abhishek so you are back with your rib tickling posts…. Wow what an experiment into coffee making/brewing….. You know what this Cappuccino is driving me too crazy….. Arey it has all of a sudden disappeared from market. We keep howling at the shopkeepers to keep stock… So like you, I am also back to Nescafe or BRU sachet… Though I use BRU Cappuccino, didnt like the taste of Nescafe….. But whenever we get this cappuccino, we literally hoard it in our kitchen… :):):)

Do they have on shorts with a belt buckle pointing south, a t-shirt, old sneakers, a “Bud” cap and sporting facial hair/hairdo appropriate in a lumber camp? Not really. You don’t need to look like you are interested in another guy but give a woman a reason to think you are sophisticated, confidant, successful and an object of interest to other women.
Carry yourself well so your posture shows good upbringing.Always groom yourself so as soon as your neighbor, store clerk, co-worker, biking companion and the woman of your efforts sees someone worth getting close to.

Oh My!! You still have that bad backache of yours. It was 2 months back I had last read ur posts, and then too you were complaining. You need to see a good physiotherapist frequently or somebody who gives massages; else it could get bad. And I admire the sense of humour emerging from the pain and the experiences. However you need to get it checked, take care and take hot water bag therapy.
Hi! I didnt leave iland. They shifted me with few others to rediffblogs on their own without even warning us. I don’t like rediffblogs.. they have changed my handle.. the page and everything else is annoying like hell. I wrote to them with a series of issues which they reply but never solve. When I post comments on iLand 75 per cent of my comments turn into arrays… so I had to leave.. no choice No one from here visits us there who are thrown away on rediffblogs .. heh

Sorry to hear that you had such a depressing day. However, one could say that these “off” days are very important too. I feel you need these “moody blue and depressing days” once in a while, just to appreciate the good ones when they come along.
In response to your sum up, (without being awkward, but just adding another perspective to the mix) on a personal level I feel If you run away from you problems, they only increase exponentially. One must always persevere to face their problems head on (and trust me, I have learned this the hard way over the years), by doing this you not only get peace of mind but more importantly are in control (shit, I sound like I’m preaching; not intentional, sorry my friend).
Hey Cubicle Blues, hope you are well? How is your back by the way? Anyway, let me just say that I enjoyed reading this post immensely. I can empathise with your predicament in many ways, in the sense that it can be so disheartening and soul destroying when you have such a controlling and powerful personality in your life (even though these people feel they have the best intention at heart); it leaves very little room to grow and explore as a person.
I really do feel for you. There is no consolation when you have gone through these kind of experiences (like the ones you mention); trust me I understand completely as I have been there once upon a time myself; got the “T shirt “and know exactly where you’re coming from.
What I will say is that you have a hell of a wonderful personality, this is not only reflected in the way you write and come across in your posts, but also in the way you convey yourself in the sum total of your blogs. My response to you is not to lose hope. In short, please do not give up! There is a special someone out there just waiting for a great guy like you; you will find your soul mate! Trust me my friend.
As for you “Sum up”, there I beg to differ in opinion. Granted that looks do play a vital part in the initial attraction phase, when people “catch a gaze” when they are initially attracted to each other etc (this is very superficial and does not last long, unless you have some meat to your personality). In my personal opinion (and I speak from experience; being an extremely ugly and overweight mug myself), personality, humour, sensitivity and heart play the most critical of these roles in attracting a partner (which may I say, you have plenty of).
I tried to post a comment for your I hate Parachute blog but seemed to be hit by an error. My comments showed as “array” for some reason. I am going to post the here (as above).
Wonder why I missed hopping in to your iland and commenting on your blogs all this while! … You have a great sense of humour … Keep writing good blogs … I hope writer’s block never dampens your spirit ..

After reading your last post I wonder whether Mrs ..Whatever her name is, is actually worth bothering with. In my view she is not. There is no such thing as perfect English, if anyone thinks or believes that they are fools. English is an evolving language and we all know that. If you decide to focus on English my suggestion is that you do so for your own improvement and not for some weird individual who is supposed to be a teacher. Your description of her reminds me of an individual with a slave mentality. Slave to their masters who are supposed to be English. There are so many accents, phrases, words and idioms used by people in the UK that on many an occasion one could be quite lost. Even though my comments are unsolicited I think you should forget such a strange person and just live your life to the best of your ability. You certainly don’t need her approval to be what and who you wish to be.

Oh My!! You still have that bad backache of yours. It was 2 months back I had last read ur posts, and then too you were complaining. You need to see a good physiotherapist frequently or somebody who gives massages; else it could get bad. And I admire the sense of humour emerging from the pain and the experiences. However you need to get it checked, take care and take hot water bag therapy.

Hi! I didnt leave iland. They shifted me with few others to rediffblogs on their own without even warning us. I don’t like rediffblogs.. they have changed my handle.. the page and everything else is annoying like hell. I wrote to them with a series of issues which they reply but never solve. When I post comments on iLand 75 per cent of my comments turn into arrays… so I had to leave.. no choice
No one from here visits us there who are thrown away on rediffblogs .. heh

Sorry to hear that you had such a depressing day. However, one could say that these “off” days are very important too. I feel you need these “moody blue and depressing days” once in a while, just to appreciate the good ones when they come along.
In response to your sum up, (without being awkward, but just adding another perspective to the mix) on a personal level I feel If you run away from you problems, they only increase exponentially. One must always persevere to face their problems head on (and trust me, I have learned this the hard way over the years), by doing this you not only get peace of mind but more importantly are in control (shit, I sound like I’m preaching; not intentional, sorry my friend).
Hey Cubicle Blues, hope you are well? How is your back by the way? Anyway, let me just say that I enjoyed reading this post immensely. I can empathise with your predicament in many ways, in the sense that it can be so disheartening and soul destroying when you have such a controlling and powerful personality in your life (even though these people feel they have the best intention at heart); it leaves very little room to grow and explore as a person.
I really do feel for you. There is no consolation when you have gone through these kind of experiences (like the ones you mention); trust me I understand completely as I have been there once upon a time myself; got the “T shirt “and know exactly where you’re coming from.
What I will say is that you have a hell of a wonderful personality, this is not only reflected in the way you write and come across in your posts, but also in the way you convey yourself in the sum total of your blogs. My response to you is not to lose hope. In short, please do not give up! There is a special someone out there just waiting for a great guy like you; you will find your soul mate! Trust me my friend.
As for you “Sum up”, there I beg to differ in opinion. Granted that looks do play a vital part in the initial attraction phase, when people “catch a gaze” when they are initially attracted to each other etc (this is very superficial and does not last long, unless you have some meat to your personality). In my personal opinion (and I speak from experience; being an extremely ugly and overweight mug myself), personality, humour, sensitivity and heart play the most critical of these roles in attracting a partner (which may I say, you have plenty of).
I tried to post a comment for your I hate Parachute blog but seemed to be hit by an error. My comments showed as “array” for some reason. I am going to post the here (as above).
Your parachute story reminded me of my parachute torture by my mom… Enjoyed reading….

After reading your last post I wonder whether Mrs ..Whatever her name is, is actually worth bothering with. In my view she is not. There is no such thing as perfect English, if anyone thinks or believes that they are fools. English is an evolving language and we all know that. If you decide to focus on English my suggestion is that you do so for your own improvement and not for some weird individual who is supposed to be a teacher. Your description of her reminds me of an individual with a slave mentality. Slave to their masters who are supposed to be English. There are so many accents, phrases, words and idioms used by people in the UK that on many an occasion one could be quite lost. Even though my comments are unsolicited I think you should forget such a strange person and just live your life to the best of your ability. You certainly don’t need her approval to be what and who you wish to be.
