No one has ever challenged it except Prof. P. N. Oak, who believes the
whole world has been duped. In his book Taj Mahal: The True Story, Oak
says the Taj Mahal is not Queen Mumtaz’s tomb but an ancient Hindu temple palace
of Lord Shiva (then known as Tejo Mahalaya). In the course of his research
Oak discovered that the Shiva temple palace was usurped by Shah Jahan
from then Maharaja of Jaipur, Jai Singh. In his own court chronicle,
Badshahnama, Shah Jahan admits that an exceptionally beautiful grand mansion in Agra was taken from Jai SIngh for Mumtaz’s burial . The ex-Maharaja of
Jaipur still retains in his secret collection two orders from Shah Jahan for
surrendering the Taj building. Using captured temples and mansions, as
a burial place for dead courtiers and royalty was a common practice among Muslim rulers.
For example, Humayun,Akbar, Etmud-ud-Daula and Safdarjung are all
buried in such mansions. Oak’s inquiries began with the name of Taj Mahal. He
says the term “Mahal” has never been used for a building in any Muslim
countries from Afghanisthan to Algeria. “The unusual explanation that the term
Taj Mahal derives from Mumtaz Mahal was illogical in atleast two respects.
Firstly, her name was never Mumtaz Mahal but Mumtaz-ul-Zamani, ” he
writes. Secondly, one cannot omit the first three letters ‘Mum’ from a woman’s
name to derive the remainder as the name for the building.”Taj Mahal,
he claims, is a corrupt version of Tejo Mahalaya, or Lord Shiva’s Palace .
Oak also says the love story of Mumtaz and Shah Jahan is a fairy tale
created by court sycophants, blundering historians and sloppy archaeologists . Not
a single royal chronicle of Shah Jahan’s time corroborates the love
story.
Furthermore, Oak cites several documents suggesting the Taj Mahal
predates Shah Jahan’s era, and was a temple dedicated to Shiva, worshipped by
Rajputs of Agra city. For example, Prof. Marvin Miller of New York took
a few samples from the riverside doorway of the Taj. Carbon dating tests
revealed that the door was 300 years older than Shah Jahan. European traveler
Johan Albert Mandelslo, who visited Agra in 1638 (only seven years after
Mumtaz’s death), describes the life of the cit y in his memoirs. But he makes no
reference to the Taj Mahal being built. The writings of Peter Mundy, an
English visitor to Agra within a year of Mumtaz’s death, also suggest
the Taj was a noteworthy building well before Shah Jahan’s time.
Prof. Oak points out a number of design and architectural inconsistencies
that support the belief of the Taj Mahal being a typical Hindu temple rather
than a mausoleum. Many rooms in the Taj ! Mahal have remained sealed
since Shah Jahan’s time and are still inaccessible to the public. Oak
asserts they contain a headless statue of Lord Shiva and other objects
commonly used for worship rituals in Hindu temples . Fearing political
backlash, Indira Gandhi’s government tried to have Prof. Oak’s book
withdrawn from the bookstores, and threatened the Indian publisher of
the first edition dire consequences . There is only one way to discredit or
validate Oak’s research.
The current government should open the sealed rooms of the Taj Mahal
under U.N. supervision, and let international experts investigate.

You think you are worthless
Very often we go through life thinking we are worthless. We look at others who are tall, handsome or beautiful, look at ourselves in the mirror and shudder. Sometimes there are also people around who say things that make us feel this way. To such as you do I bring these two lovely stories: Read them and then tell me whether you feel the same way:
A water bearer in China had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which he carried around his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
Every day at the end of the long walk from the stream where the water bearer filled the two pots, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering one and a half pots of water to his house.
Of course the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. It also felt it was letting down its master who in spite of its fault carried it painstakingly everyday from the stream to his house.
After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it gathered up courage to speak to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house,” it cried.
The bearer smiled and touched the pot lovingly, “Did you notice there are flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?” he asked. “That’s because I have always known of your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your particular side, so that everyday while we walk back you water them!”
“For two years I have been able to pick those beautiful flowers to decorate the table. And those flowers make our home so cheerful and gay everyday. Without you being the way you are, there would never have been such beauty outside on the path and in my home!”
Here’s the second little story:
A well-known speaker held up a five hundred-rupee note. In the room of two hundred people he asked, “Who would like this 500 note?” Hands started going up and he said, “I am going to give this note to one of you but first let me do this”, and he proceeded to crumple the note up. He then asked, “Who still wants it?” All the hands were up in the air. “Well”, he said, “what if I do this?” and he dropped the note onto the floor and ground it with his shoe. He picked it up, dirty and crumpled, “Now who still wants it?” The same hands were up.
“My friends,” said the well-known speaker, “even in life when we get dropped and crumpled and grounded into the dirt we will never lose our value!
Now, put your chin up and head straight, and with a smile on your face, face another week with cheer and confidence, if you are like that cracked pot or crumpled note, you have every reason to go forth with joy…!
Have a Great week.

A SWEET STORY
A SWEET STORY
He met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he was so normal, nobody paid attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised.
They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt comfortable, she thought, please, let me go home. Suddenly he asked the waiter: “would you please give me some salt? I’d like to put it in my coffee”
Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but, still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously: why you have this hobby? He replied: “when I was a little boy, I was living near the sea, I liked playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea ,just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time. I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my home town, I miss my home town so much, I miss my parents who are still living there”. While saying that
tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.
That’s his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her far away hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.
They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee!
Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life…
And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that’s the way he liked it. After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said:” My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you—the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually
I wanted some sugar, but I said salt it was hard for me to change so I just went ahead. I never thought that could be the start of our communication!
I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything.. Now I’m dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don’t like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste..But I have had the salty coffee for my whole life! Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for
you. Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again”.
Her tears made the letter totally wet.
Someday, someone asked her: what’s the taste of salty coffee?
It’s sweet. She replied.
Pass this 2 everyone coz………
love is not 2 forget
but 2 forgive
not 2 c but understand
not 2 hear but 2 listen
not 2 let go but HOLD ON !!!!
Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.
A real friend expects to always be there for you!

Son & Dad
Son : “Daddy, may I ask you a question”
Daddy : “Yeah sure, what it is?”
Son : “Dad, how much do you make an hour”
Daddy : “That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?” that man said angrily.
Son : “I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?”
Daddy: “I make Rs. 500 an hour”
“Oh”, the little boy replied, with his head down. Looking up, he said,”Dad,may I please borrow Rs. 300?”
The father was furious, “if the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or other nonsense, then march yourself to your room and go to bed. Think why you are being so selfish.I work hard everyday for such childish behavior”
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions.
“How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:
“May be there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs. 300
and he really didn’t ask for money very often!”
The man went to the door of little boy’s room and opened the door. “Are you asleep, son?” He asked.
“No daddy, I’m awake,” replied the boy.
“I’ve been thinking, may be I was too hard on you earlier”, said the man,
“It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the Rs.300/ you asked for”
The little boy sat straight up, smiling “oh thank you dad!” He yelled.
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled some more crippled up notes.
The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.
The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father.
“Why do you want money if you already had some?” the father grumbled.
“Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied.
Tears flowing down his little pink cheeks the boy said very innocently
“Daddy I have Rs. 500 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come
home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you” .
What the Father could have said ….nothing indeed….It’s just a short
reminder to all of us working so hard in life.
We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some
time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. If
something happens to us tomorrow, we could be easily replaced within a
short time at the place of work . But what about our families ?And come
to
think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family. An
unwise investment indeed!
