Handling Layoff -Personally and Professionally

Handling Layoff -Personally and Professionally

Hi
guys n gals - all those who have been laid off or on the verge of shake
out. There are few things which I would like to share and its upto you
How you take it or leave it!

Whatever excuses the companies are giving for your layoff is absolute rubbish. The fact of the matter is the guy who is asking you to leave does not understand that he is next on the list. Its
better we accept the TRUTH and that is the financial mess the world has
got into is because of not economic but attitudinal.Attitude ! What !
you might say !Yep you heard right it pro!.The Attitude with which we
handle money.Big time companies take huge credits from banks and other
financial institutions and do not repay on time and mess it up by
window dressing and fudging accounts and telling LIES to its
shareholders. All are part of it hence WE.Now tell me If you go to a
super market does he give you credit for buying a toothpaste? Why
should these financial rich companies take credit and mess up our jobs
and careers and our lives on personal and professional front. A company
like TATA’s wants a bail out for a NANO project and our Modi obliges by
1900 crores for their[ TATA's] strategic blunder from tax payer’s
money.Didn’t TATA’s know that starting any project in the RED LAND of
West Bengal is a disaster right from the word go then its those Senior
Manager’s at TATA’s must be sacked first. 95% of the IT, ITES, BPO’s
etc companies take candidates with Fake CV’s Fake experience
certificates and project their “QUALITY ” bench strength and try to
grab the international projects and why blame the fresher or the H.R
guy?

Putting S bands or some balderdash bands does not make sense. The Top
blokes never believe in transparency whether in corporate or in private

especially the white elephants of India[IAS/IPS officers-90% of them
are huge burden to Indian economy and very few 10% are honest] are huge
burden to the tax payer’s money.Promote e governance and e literacy at
all gram panchayat, mandal and all municipal levels and use RTI and
Consumer forum to the maximum .

Now coming to our main issue

1.Come to terms with the layoff emotionally in your mind and remember ” EVEN THIS WILL PASS AWAY”.If you are comfortable with yourself you will be comfortable with the world

2.Tell the truth to your near and dear ones that you have been asked to
quit and make it a point that YOU SHOULD RESIGN AND THE COMPANY SHOULD
NOT THROW you out.You kick the blokes ,they should not kick you.At
least you’ll feel better.

3. Time for some wise spending! yes spending on your basic essential
resources, like you got a nice offer on your mobile service take one
year validity with full talk time, or buy essential groceries like rice
or eggs at wholesale.Keep your medical kit .Pay your health insurance
and save the info.

4. Cancel all credit cards and settle it for one time shot and close
them at best deal and take it from me most of the companies are ready
for it so BARGAIN BARGAIN and close all cards except one Credit and
Debit card from different banks.

5. Keep enough money for you to survive with basic necessities and reduce all party gifts, etc.

6.Cut that A.C and two mobiles,go back to fan and single mobile.

7. Plan your schedule such that your vehicle fuel is used optimally and
complete all tasks in one by one .Do not take your car or 2 wheeler
just to visit or in some time wasting activities.

8. Keep your spending spree to the bare minimum and only for basic
essentials.Ask now should I be a job seeker or job giver? and see what
happens!

9.Discover your spiritual side, Do that now WHICH you always wanted to
do passionately but always postponed it for lack of time or resources
or whatever reason. Now that you have time ,do your SWOT analysis and
Live your PASSION , If you do not live it now then when PAL!.

Rediscover the REAL YOU and explore what you were born for and go for it

“To be happy you have to be simple and to be simple its tough”

C’mon now get that smile back on your face yeah! that ’s nice , discover your NEW ATTITUDE AND NEW YOU.

Cheers! Smile

your pal
