THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HANDS

There is a legend which says that long ago there lived three fair young women in a royal palace..

They were in a wonderful garden. One morning, there arose the question as to who had the most beautiful hands in the world?

Eleanor, who had given a slight colouring to her white fingers while gathering juicy strawberries, thought that her hands were the most beautiful.

Antoinette had been among the fragrant roses and had taken their tiny drops of sweet moisture-she thought her hands were the loveliest.

Joon had dipped her pretty fingers in the clear waters of the stream and like the clear diamond sparkled her long thin fingers. She thought her hands were the most beautiful.

Just then there came a beggar girl who asked for alms. But the royal maidens turned her away. The beggar girl passed on to a cottage nearby.A woman with toil-stained hands gave her some bread. The beggar girl was immediately turned in to angel of exceptional beauty. She appeared at the garden gate saying,”THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HANDS ARE THOSE WHICH ARE READY TO HELP OTHERS”..

Nice story…I really liked it..I had this story in my 3rd std moral science…I am really surprised that now a days we are beyond science and money than morals..Our education system wants as to be money minded rather than being kind hearted..

All of us here are fond of three things..
1.to love and to be loved by someone..
2.If not lavishness, atleast a considerable life where in all our requirements need to be fullfilled..
3.Appreciation and recognition..

Have we became quite self centered now a days..I dont know..But sounds as if it is true..How can our priority change after we grow up for our partners rather than our parents…Our parents who loved us,took care of,,if not they love u the way other parents love there children, atleast they gave birth to u,,made u responsible, made u realize what life is,,dont shut ur doors when they require u?please dont send them to old age homes..Love them the way they took care of u,when u were young..

And secondly respect the food u eat,,there are thousands of people who dont even get there basic necessary things..When we respect our food we are respecting those farmers,,

If i am wrong somewhere please let me know,i would love to rectify it..and thanks for visiting my blog.. and reading everything..
have a nice day…

nice one… i remember we had moral science and one of our teachers would call it useless saying that how can u teach moral science… moral values should grow from within. True… but it was the moral science class that reminded us of the moral values… isn”t it?

Tow things to say to your blog:
    1. “Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitaha!” Caring for parents is our Dharma and our children will do the same unto us what we do unto our parents…
    2. “Annadaata Sukhibhava!” These words spoken after each meal will reach the farmers as goodwill and blessings!

Good post, how true……… we should go with the tide! a tide called change….. to which our society is subject to… but then, it doesn”t mean we should change to the worst…….. take a little goodness along with you making it the rules by which one changes, then I guess our society will be a good one too………..

A nice story and a good thought expressed too, but today’’s markets and soceity and environment calls for materliasm in a larger way. The options are, either to change the soceity itself, or to be changed by the soceity, or to strike a healthy balance between materliasm (which the family wants) and kindness towards others with little or no selfishness.

UR post and the phot both are very touching. I do give offen not in cash but eatable. i feel that is better. don”t through food u don”t want to eat give to somebody who don”t get any thing to eat. for that matter any thing U don”t require give to some one who will be more than happy to receive it.

Ashwini that is so true - I did learn this in moral science too in my third grade or fourth grade I think they changed the story a bit - in the one I read - the woman had a basket on her head the one of the girls helps her put it down.

This is something we all collectively should be ashamed of right -how many of us have clean hands?? all the time.

Nice one to remind people of what in God’’s eyes is clean.

    Take care :)

    Thats very right!
Sometime back in my 9th standard I had an argument with my biology teacher, who thought teaching languages is a waste of time! While its the languages which add fun to life!
    The story carries good message!
