Respect Your thoughts…

This is one more reason why we have to thank God for the food that we can have easily.

But in the otherhand….ironicly, we still waste the food that we buy

I feel very GRATEFUL for what I have today…….
We are so blessed for the wonderful works of God’s hand in our life today, just think of this…………..

“I felt very fortunate to live in this part of the world. I promise I will never waste my food no matter how bad it can taste and how full I may be. I promise not to waste water. I pray that this little boy be alleviated from his suffering.

I pray that we will be more sensitive towards the suffering in the world around us and not be blinded by our own selfish nature and interests. I hope this picture will always serve as a reminder to us about how fortunate we are and that we must never ever take things for granted.

In our life we are the one who are going to define our happiness, love, lavishness everything..Initially a child who used to play with small things,,when it was young..starts cultivating a behaviour that only costly toys can make us happy..Is it really so..

WE are gifted people,,we have everything to be happy..we have loving parents,,quality education,,health.the small thing which we have forgotten is to be happy with what we have..

Lets define our happiness a lowerlimit..So that we can be happy all the time..

The poverty around is heart-rending. It is man-made. One selfish and greedy person makes thousands poor, just to satisfy his/er unquenchable appetite for lavish life.

Why don”t you join our mass movement “rightinformer” to stand in support of law enforcement? Let us help them do their jobs better so that wrong doings can be effectively prevented; good attitudes and deeds could be encouraged and thus bad would be purged from society.

True AshWini wastage of food is criminal I for one never do it. If each family in India cook one fist full of rice or atta every day for a month we may have surplus food in India….!!! By the way did you read my latest poem Sand in my shoes…… if not do read. Keep the same sesitivity as you grow vagaries of life blunts it.

very rightly said…food should not be wasted at any cost….order and eat what you are going to eat……dont let any good go waste

It is heart touching. Once on a dinner table, my friend ordered a sumptuous icecream with fruits. It was a large serving with lot of decorations. Two could have easily shared it but table etiquets wont allow it (hell with it). I was almost getting tempted to order one but hesitant and finally better sense prevailed. Another acquintance on the table suggested that i should order the ice cream and eat only a small portion and let the rest go waste. It is sad to see how people in affluent countries waste food.

While I agree a 100% that one should not waste food and I even try to inculcate it in my sons constantly pointing out to them that there are less fortunate people in this great country of ours, I would like to leave u with a thought that just came to my mind as I read this post - Had it not been for the people who threw away food like this, would the poor beggar boy have found something to eat for that day? No I am not suggesting degrading a human being to this level but realistically in a country like ours with nearly 50 to 60% still under the poverty line and with not adequate infrastructure to feed all the hungry mouths for FREE this is the only source for food for many. I have grown up seeing quite a few of these sights and I can fully empathise with them too. So May be wasting a little might have a good side to it too.

Very touchy picture. However praying does not alleviate their sufferings. Doing something to help them is real help. There is no GOD above, GOD is within us. Awaken the GOD within you

In one Unvieristy Canteen it is written as, “Do not waste the food, your wasted food can be somebody’’s food” After i came to this univ. canteen i always remember that word…

This kid was brought into this world by unthinking parents who couldnt afford to feed him/her even. The root cause is people who cannot afford to have kids still have kids. May sound very ruthless but the fact is you need to have a lot of compassion and understanding to know when you can/cannot have something especially another human life.

Oh so touchy picture. Par kitne log dekho kana zada ho jate hai tho kutthe ko de dethe hai par roadside kisi garib bache ko plate mai kilathe nahi. Its our world.

You have the kindest of hearts, Ashwini. You touched a chord in my head… I wonder how I can remember GOD’’s blessings every minute of the day or atleast as frequently as I can. Even a bigger problem is, how do I give this value to my children when I am struggling with it myself! If you have any thoughts on this, I would appreciate it.

as standards of living rise, we forget the value of a morsel of food or a glass of water. i remember the days when my mum used to repremand me for wasting even one dana of rice in the plate.
