Apparitions go tech-savvy!!!

July 28, 2006 By: moinak banerjee Category: Fantasy

J.K Rowling made a famous wizard out of a boy who, never knowing that he was a Great Wizard, stayed with “muggles”(we the non-magical humans in magical terms!) in the early years of his life. Harry Potter after entering into the world of magic made the “muggle” readers fall in love with him & his adventures in the world of magic, spirits & ghosts and everything from the world of “fantasy”.

well they are but stories……

But i guess, the publicity & applaud, that these “stories” received from the Humans, made the real ghosts wary of their positions in the world, & so now they resort to technology to spread the news of their presence & existence.

Dont believe it???well then check these instances out…..

1) A West Bengal based mobile number 9**188888**( sorry, for certain reasons i have to hide the real number that i got from the net!!) is usually switched off when one calls in the morning, but after 12 in the night, a call to this number is said to be received by a lady who cries & says that she is dead!!!!! Wow , thats a real cool way of telling a “Ghost Story”. Believe me! I received this number in a mail over the internet. Keep ur eyes & ears open to mails & communities, u will surely have that mail forwarded to u! in case u still dont get, ask me….. i will send it to u personaly!

2) Today THEY also use the internet service.
Now & then emails have “scary” contents in the following format….. a nice picture, or two nice pictures, or a dot etc. & one is supposed to concentrate hard to find something else in them, say a figure, or a face, or even spot differences between the two pictures which are otherwise same! Now u try hard , & BINGO!!!!!!! suddenly u have a ghost coming up from no-where, with a bloody face, red bloody eyes, long talons & everything ghastly!! Even u can have,sort-of-a video clip showing an unearthly figure suddenly moving out of no-where in front of the camera which was till then showing an empty room!
Nice way to show presence & say “we are there!”!

3) many a times and often the villagers find some dancing fire specks at a distance & in and around their room trying to scare them to the death beds. Forget that science says;in places with decomposed organic matter some inflamable gas is prodeced due to decomposition which being very unstable, catches fire even in contact with flowing air!!– i knOw that & i know we all know that!….. but farmers believe and are convinced that it is the work of ghosts.  so u see, in reality the ghosts are yet again techinally sound to use some sort of laser beams to scare us at night! next time u see a dancing light, pull out a small laser torch from ur pocket & focus it in the same direction…. i mean, with this try to say “hello” to ur body-less companions!

4) a set of villagers beat up an airtel engineer working with his “laptop” in a village on a telephone tower, because they think that the laptop glowing was more scary than the dancing ghost-lights, & so the engineer must be a wizard of some sort trying out spells to harm the villagers!. So.Now u know that laptops working with LCD screens are more than ghosts …. so dont use them!!!

5) Uncanny incidents around you!
A Bengali channel broadcasted that in a certain hotel-room a girl had been murdered, but the police had said it to be a suicide case. Now, when anyone goes to that room to stay, finds after sometime, that the room is in a fully disheaveled state inspite of the fact that the room was locked from outside. In that same room one person had seen the shadow of a girl in a nightsuit,on his televison screen after switching it off, as if standing right behind him. Swirling round he found no one. But convinced that there was really someone, he fled the next day! Even the news reporters who had been there to investigae found it really suffocating to stay in that room as it felt that somehow there was someone else in the room when actually they could see noone.

I dont know what these incidents are, or what they are all about. All i know is that the fundamental problem is ignorance among people, & probably some people use this to either have fun or have benefits extracted from them!

Ghost as we call these,in reality, is the “atman” as is said in the Hindu shastras, & theyare far more pure than we humans can think of. They are not here to harm us. I dont know if at all they are here , but even if they are , i have no reason to believe they will harm us if we dont do anything to harm them….. actually i dont know how to harm them either coz i have never met one. The “human body” for the atman,is more like the dress that we wear everyday. The atman never dies, it always stays…… just changes form from one human to another.. just like we change dresses. So what bnig matter is it that once we get to see or feel an atman around us…. although they are theoritically invisible.

Emails of the sort i said do more harm to us than we can think. They make us disrespect the purity of the souls which may be a way to offend these otherwise harmless atmans.

even if the incident of the hotel and the ghost of the girl is true & she exists,STILL i dont really find a reason to make so fuss about it & make others AFRAID. I dont know what lies beyond the scope of science…. probably thats what parannormal means.

they exist or they dont exist …… WE DO NOT KNOW! & SO if we humans can use sciencs & technology to for our benefits, we can surely expect that THEY will also use it to their benefit! isnt it?? Let all of us accpet that this is the 21st century & everything can happen! What do u say??

striking a compromise…

July 25, 2006 By: moinak banerjee Category: Personal

i was going through a few blogs available in the net & much to my surprise i found that a lot of people are bent upon in giving into situations if they face any…… be it at the work place & or in their own life!

i dont have much experience may be, but the very thought of strinking a compromise in situations; that seem wrong from my point of view as well as when i place myself in that position ; creates an erre feeling inside me & thats when i blurt out with utmost violence.

I dont know much people liking me for my outspokenness, but at least it does make me feel in the right place in my own eyes! My life is full of follies, & i am ready to accept every wrong that i have done to people— but now i know i have changed myself to a great degree!

But still that no-compromise attitude i guess i have obtained from my forefathers.
cant help speaking out when i see a wrong done!
thats how i am!

advertising Humanity!!

July 24, 2006 By: moinak banerjee Category: Writing

adverstisement …….”probably” that what we care in the name of Humanity!

it was just yesterday that the world prayed together to give a second life to the tiny Prince on his 6th birthday, but today early in the morning i woke up to hear a news-reader in a news channel boasting about the fact that “THEY” were the first to air the facts about the kid being trapped, & that “THEY” made fifty hours of live coverage & that now after his rescue “THEY” have decided to take all expenses of his study & upbringing!

no doubt it is possibly the best effort that they could have put up to help the kid, but such boating sounded so bad ! is it necessary to air what good u have done to someone? is it necessary to verbalise good deeds!? i dont know coz i dont approve of it… & i would have never done it! It was such an enduring task for all those who were involved in the rescue operation, then why this sort of baosting? why such publicity to show how great one is? is that we all care for saving the life of a kid?

was it not a matter of pride that inspite of such diversities in the name of religion & caste & those stuffs , we Indians were able to show the whole world that when needs be we are there for each other, & no filty action like the Bombay blast can deter us from being united in one big nation?

I dont know if my saying can make any difference, but if it does even to one Human Being, & he refuses to publicise a good deed he or she does in the life, i guess my effort is paid!

can we just not join hands & be good Humans just for one good day????? Why can we just not put our efforts into it; by getting out of any form of filthy rat race where we are constantly engaging ourselves?

Prince

July 23, 2006 By: moinak banerjee Category: Writing

a five year old kid has the closest rendezvous with real time death–
he falls in to a sixty foot pit in the ground — a cul-de-sac from which the jack hare could even not escape

but thanks to the still left humanity that the world at large comes to rescue– from the jawan to the (major) general, the boy next door to the opposition  leaders side by side with the ruling party come together to fight for 50 hours, before which they pull Prince up through another equally dug-deep pit from  another side and then making a connecting tunnel betwween the two.

congrats again to the army for their success in this operation viz. Operation Mritunjaya.
& congrats to the indian people that they could unite themselves beyond the borders of caste creed ,religion & every such related thing , that they could come together forgetting their ageold discriminations & policies & pray to their respective ALL mighties…….GOD, ALLAH,BHAGVAN____& everyone else, who i think has proven sure enough that inspite of calling by separate names , HE is only one who listened to the million hearts & saved the kid from the hands of death.

Lets unite ourselves to one great nation. Cant we??
