The Question is ” How Does One Think?”
Meet this Guy—AM::: He is quite tall, and lean, and a simple spectacle adorns his face…..his overall simplicity as highlighted by his appearance masks his true identity which is what defines him. His appearance hides that fact that he himself is an advanced datawarehouse, who thinks way beyond time– and to me, this is what is most fascinating about him. Okay to give another bit of information, he is a MIT Phd…. and my job role wants me to be a visionary!!!
But the worst part is : in front of his “visions”, my “ideas” seem insignificantly puny!!!!!
I freak myself out trying to gather knowledge and ideas by reading extensively– almost anything under the sun….. and this is when AM steps in.. speaks for around 10-15 minutes… and I realise I wasn’t even thinking a thousandth of what his ideas are!!!!! I accept the fact that he is a MITian….but even then I guess I should have scored atleast one in his onethousand!!!
WOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF—–now you know why I’m frustrated, more so because comparing with what he said, i feel I am not doing justice to my own job!!
but this is when Amit Goenka stepped in. Let’s call this second guy AG. He says, read less and think more!!! Wonderfully simple idea with probably the best solution embedded. The example he gave was even more convincing— in older days around 200 days old, innovations always happened evenif they did not have the internet knowledge repository at his /her disposal.
Very true….hence the next question is : without gaining pre-requisite knowledge (be it of anything), how does one be a visionary, rather how does one think???
Need a Pandora’s box to get ideas and answers!!!
