Dear All

This is a welcome development. The voice of common man is having its effect, and the era of land scams may be coming to an end.
The Prime Minister’s orders are that henceforth, sale or lease of government land and premises would only happen after approval of the Union Cabinet, or a Cabinet Committee. However, it is strange that Sharad Pawar and Vilasrao Deshmukh – who gave prime land to private parties at throwaway prices or even free – are on the Union Cabinet. With such corrupt heavyweights on board, how can the Union Govt curb the abuse of land allotment powers?
DEMAND THEIR DISMISSAL. PLEASE SPEAK OUT, AND LET YOUR INDIVIDUAL VOICES BE HEARD:

DETAILS OF ABUSE OF DISCRETIONARY POWERS FOR LAND ALLOTMENT:
Over the past 15 years, Government Discretionary Quotas have been used to allot plots of land to hundreds of politicians, IAS and IPS officers, judges, builders and other private businessmen, making them all part of a massive crime ring. In many cases, the plots are allotted without formal applications. These decisions have no control mechanisms, no system of checks and balances. After Right to Information Act 2005 was passed, several RTI activists are taking up the matter, and great numbers of these transactions are coming to light in several States.

In past decades, the common man passively accepted abuse of power. In fact, he felt that it was the God-given right of every legislator and minister to bestow favours on friends and relatives. He believed that bending rules and breaking laws was the natural privilege of the ruling class. But, as you know, there has been a great awakening in recent years. The common man is now up in arms against such social injustices and unconstitutional behaviour. He wants the nexus between politicians, bureaucrats and their super-rich friends to be broken.
The time for change has come. Demand the change.
Warm Regards,
Krish
