All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself.I am happy I am ‘ME’ and hope to continue the same

Yes I too am happy being me, but I would be truly very happy if that someone special was happy that I am me..

To be yourself, first you ”ve got to accept yourself ( as you are ) i.e. you should stop judging yourself ( as good/bad.. blah blah.. etc,which others impose on you ) Stop this judgment and see what happens, since we all carry the judgmental chatter in our mind.. which we had unconsciously gathered and nurtured it from our childhood.( I believe a bold woman like you could do it..)
Only my opinion: I think the thing is called maturity. It brings with it confidence in our own selves. We realise that no one is perfect and there are so many shades of grey in life. In a way we become somewhat insulated… I hope you get the drift.

If you remove all the euphumism, marriage in essence is a contract of convenience between two mutually consenting adults. Any relationship stands on mutual respect and trust. The guy should respect himself and respect the girl’’s freedom to choose her life partner.
