Mr Vijay Mallya’s Amazing Answer-Cheers

After an international beer conference in London , all the world’s top
brewery bosses decide to go out for a beer together.

The Chairman of Budweiser says, ‘I’d like the most refreshing beer
in the world, ‘The King of Beers’: give me a Budweiser.’
The bartender takes a bottle from the shelf and opens it for him.

The Chairman of Guinness says, ‘I’d like the only beer in the world
worth
really, truly waiting for: give me a Guinness.’
The bartender serves him.

The Chairman of Carlsberg says, ‘ I would like the world’s best beer,
drunk in more countries than any other: give me a Carlsberg.’
He gets it.

Vijay Mallya sits down, looks around and says, ‘Just give me a Coke.’
The bartender looks at him, shrugs, and serves him.
The other brewery bosses laugh loudly and say, ‘Hey Vijay, how come
you aren’t drinking a Kingfisher?’

‘Listen,’ says Vijay Mallya, ‘If you guys aren’t drinking
beer, neither will I

A Glass of Milk

A Glass of Milk

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water.

She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, “How much do I owe you?”
“You don’t owe me anything,” she replied. “Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness.”

He said….. “Then I thank you from my heart.” As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Year’s later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.

Dressed in his doctor’s gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval.

He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill.

She read these words…..
“Paid in full with one glass of milk”
(Signed)
Dr. Howard Kelly

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: “Thank You, God, that Your love has spread abroad through human hearts and hands.”

A Glass of Water

Professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it.  He held it up for all to see & asked the students
“How much do you think this glass weighs?”

‘50gms!’ …. ‘100gms!’ …..’125gms’  …the students answered..

“I really don’t know unless I weigh it,” said the professor, “but, my question is:

What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?”

‘Nothing’ ..the students said.

‘Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour?’ the professor asked.

‘Your arm would begin to ache’ said one of the student

“You’re right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?”

“Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle stress & paralysis & have to go to hospital for sure!”
.. ventured another student & all the students laughed

“Very good.

But during all this, did the weight of the glass change?”
asked the professor.

‘No’ . Was the answer.

“Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?”

The students were puzzled.

“What should I do now to come out of pain?” asked professor again.

“Put the glass down!” said one of the students

“Exactly!” said the professor.

Life’s problems are something like this.
Hold it for a few minutes in your head & they seem OK.

Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache.
Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.

It’s important to think of the challenges or problems in your life,
But EVEN MORE IMPORTANT is to ‘PUT THEM DOWN’ at the end of every day before You go to sleep.

That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh &strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!

So, when you leave office today,
Remember friend to
‘PUT THE GLASS DOWN TODAY! ‘

One True Love

He never believed that true love existed. His parents divorced when he was young and he didn’t think that true love was able to survive in today’s world. HE was proven wrong. his grandparents were always supportive to the kids and tried to help them when their parents divorced. HE knew they loved each other, HE just wasn’t sure it was true love. HE had never heard them say, “I love you” or show any affection other than hugging. They had been married for over fifty years and HE thought that their true love was gone. But again HE was wrong. his grandfather, Ralph, was struck ill in his junior year of college and he didn’t know how serious it was until he fell and hurt his hip. While in the hospital, the doctors found out a tumor in his lungs. They told him that he had lung cancer and due to previous illnesses, they could not operate and he was too weak for chemotherapy. It was around Thanksgiving and by Christmas his condition worsened. The cancer spread and in late January his sister away at college too, called him crying and said she was on her way home because the doctors told our family that their grandfather had only a week to live, that by the weekend he would no longer be with them. Their family came in from around the country and stayed next to his side. It was there he realized that true love does exist today and will survive beyond death. Every night as his grandfather grew more fraile, he would whisper sweet words to grandmother, Madge. The night before he died grandmother was walking out of his room and he said to her “I love you Madgie baby”. The next morning he received a phone call at work that grandfather had passed during the night. Throughout his short battle with cancer, he realized how much two people can love each other and he realized how much it means to be loved and give love. It is the greatest gift on earth and it lasts beyond life because you never forget your one true love.

The Bird Feeder

Last fall I hung outside my window a bird feeder. Now not knowing the first thing about wild birds, I assumed that as soon as I hung this bird feeder outside, a multitude of beautiful birds would be swooping to my new addition. Days, weeks and months went by; NO BIRDS.

I asked so many people what to do? What was I doing wrong? “Nothing” most of them replied. “Just wait.” So I waited and waited and waited trying everything possible, to attract these birds.

I cleaned off the deck, I changed the feed, I washed the feeders, I even made the cat go out the other door! But nothing seemed to work. So……I waited, “with patience and hope.”

Two (2) months later, on a Saturday afternoon, I FROZE! What to my eyes had appeared on the bird feeder but the most beautiful bird I have ever seen in my life! All of a sudden HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS OF BIRDS WERE APPEARING FROM EVERYWHERE!

What a beautiful lesson I learned from this little creature. “Patience and hope” and “things” will attract the beautiful things in life. I never realized how much patience I really do have and how much I do rely upon “hope” to sort out the questions in my heart.

So I keep hoping and waiting, waiting and hoping. I will try to use this “little lesson” with so many other things in my life. I guess “patience is a virtue” after all.

Some times your heart thinks

Some times your heart thinks, whom do you really love?
You love someone but you like someone else,
Your mind speaks, but your heart denies….
Someone listens, but someone else comforts…
Someone prays, but someone else consoles…
Someone says but someone else’s action speaks…
Someone laughs, but someone else understands. ..
Someone just tells, but someone makes you do…
Someone is there, but someone you want is not…
You search for someone is someone else…
Is this the beginning of love, or is it the end…
A times come in life when you thinks what love really is?
What you think is love or it is something else…
Listen to your mid but follow your heart.

Every time I see you
Every time I see you,I think of all the things you do!The way you stroke your hair, When you see a girl in despair,Or the way you jump up and down, At the sight of girls in their night gownsEvery time I see you,I think of all the things you do.  Every time I see you,I think of all the things you do!Offering a jacket to the first you see cold,”You flirt! Isn’t that getting old?”Enticing gullible girls with your charms,With your words, and with your arms,Every time I see you,I think of all the things you do.  Every time I see you,I think of all the things you do!
I think of your laugh, and your smile,Stupid things you say every once in a while.Your kind words, and those smarts,The way you win everyone’s, hearts.I secretly watch the things you do, Admire you, think of you, write about you too. When will you know how I truly feel?
When will you get that I’m for real?Hopefully it will be some day soon. But for now, I just look at the moon,And think of all the things you do!

What he valued most

A young man learns what’s most important in life from the guy next door.
It had been some time since Avinash had seen the old man. College, girls,
career, and life itself got in the way. In fact, Avinash moved clear across
the country in pursuit of his dreams. There, in the rush of his busy
life, Avinash had little time to think about the past and often no time to
spend with his wife and son. He was working on his future, and nothing
could stop him.

Over the phone, his mother told him, “Mr. Balwaker died last night. The
funeral is Wednesday.” Memories flashed through his mind like an old
newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days.

“Avinash, did you hear me?”
“Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It’s been so long since I thought of
him. I’m sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago,” Avinash said.

“Well, he didn’t forget you. Every time I saw him he’d ask how you were
doing. He’d reminisce about the many days you spent over ‘his side of
the fence’ as he put it,” Mom told him.

“I loved that old house he lived in,” Avinash said.

“You know, Avinash, after your father died, Mr. Balwaker stepped in to make
sure you had a man’s influence in your life,” she said.

“He’s the one who taught me carpentry,” he said. “I wouldn’t be in this
business if it weren’t for him. He spent a lot of time teaching me
things he thought were important…Mom, I’ll be there for the funeral,”
Avinash said.

As busy as he was, he kept his word. Avinash caught the next flight to his
hometown. Mr. Balwaker’s funeral was small and uneventful. He had no
children of his own, and most of his relatives had passed away.

The night before he had to return home, Avinash and his Mom stopped by to
see the old house next door one more time.

Standing in the doorway, Avinash paused for a moment. It was like crossing
over into another dimension, a leap through space and time. The house
was exactly as he remembered. Every step held memories. Every picture,
every piece of furniture….Avinash stopped suddenly.

“What’s wrong, Avinash?” his Mom asked.

“The box is gone,” he said.

“What box? ” Mom asked.

“There was a small gold box that he kept locked on top of his desk. I
must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he’d ever tell
me was ‘the thing I value most,’” Avinash said.

It was gone. Everything about the house was exactly how Avinash remembered
it, except for the box. He figured someone from the Balwaker family had
taken it.

“Now I’ll never know what was so valuable to him,” Avinash said. “I better
get some sleep. I have an early flight home, Mom.”

It had been about two weeks since Mr. Balwaker died. Returning home from
work one day Avinash discovered a note in his mailbox. “Signature required
on a package. No one at home. Please stop by the main post office within
the next three days,” the note read.

Early the next day Avinash retrieved the package. The small box was old and
looked like it had been mailed a hundred years ago. The handwriting was
difficult to read, but the return address caught his attention.

“Mr. Harish Balwaker” it read.

Avinash took the box out to his car and ripped open the package. There
inside was the gold box and an envelope. Avinash’s hands shook as he read
the note inside.

“Upon my death, please forward this box and its contents to Avinash
Badarinad. It’s the thing I valued most in my life.” A small key was taped
to the letter. His heart racing, as tears filling his eyes, Avinash
carefully unlocked the box. There inside he found a beautiful gold
pocket watch. Running his fingers slowly over the finely etched casing,
he unlatched the cover.

Inside he found these words engraved: “Avinash, Thanks for your time!
Harish Balwaker.”

“The thing he valued most…was…my time.”

Avinash held the watch for a few minutes, then called his office and
cleared his appointments for the next two days. “Why?” Janaki, his
assistant asked.

“I need some time to spend with my son,” he said.

“Oh, by the way, Janaki…thanks for your time!”
