Yes , there must be any number of Kesavan Nairs, still struggling and often miserably failing to continue working on the land that they love, because of crop failure and indebtness. One keeps hearing of suicides amonst farmers in Andhra Pradsh, Karnataka and Maharashtra. It is indeed sad that they who work so hard to give us what we eat , have to come to this fate. Life is quite lopsided, isn’t it?.

GBS, I refer to you comments in my iland. I agree with you. The zip in the fielding witnessed in twenty20 may not be there with old legs getting in to the team. When the fielders are on their toes and deny the easy singles to the batsmen, then it adds pressures on them to innovate and paves way for mistakes in the process to get out. Regarding, sreesanth, he seems to be crossing the boundaries of aggressive postures by his gimmicks without showing his prowess in bowling. Aussies do talk a lot to make you get off-balance and get tense. But they talk the talk and walk the walk (as one of my friends put it) and also they walk the talk. But Sreesanth makes himself look like a joker without its utility.

you are right about the man beating his wife…. that version was told by my grandma and my mom modified it a little to avoid my hundred and one questions as to hy he would beat his wife and why his wife didnt get angry with him for beatiing her, etc.
