Kindness Costs Nothing
Deepika,
I think you are right on target about “the stage being the same..only the characters are different”. I find that to be true in all countries, certainly in the US. There are always promises everywhere but where is the concrete assistance for the working poor? Government seems to give in one hand and take from the other. It is true and seems even more exacerbated today. When we look at leaders we need to ask simple questions and think.."If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is!
Recession and bad politicians are a cultural and economic problem.
However, the insensitivity by the police laughing at the people who were humbling themselves to stand in line for assistance is a human problem and it is disgusting that they would do that! Whenever a man or woman puts down another to feel good about their selves they are insecure, have low self-esteem and would whine like children if they had to endure the same treatment. They exhibit weakness and a lack of basic character.
Keep caring for others, show compassion for the less fortunate, teach the little ones because the more we do the better our world will be.
Please continue to write on these issues. Thank you for sharing this one with us.
Regards,
Carl
