to be or not to be a doctor

Let me tell you thatthis is my first blog.

Actually i always wanted to discuss this with personnel from every feild to compare it wid their field and what they feel.

To start with i am a doctor.Actually a medical student i should say,not into practice yet.But when i had started it was a fantasy kind of a thing.to be a DOCTOR…

i gave the pmt,entered medical college,cleared mbbs………now what.

i had the degree of mbbs but that was not enough.

it really looks so mesmerising to look at the profession of mbbs ,,,,,,,is it so?

i asked myself.and the answer was in front of me………..another exam”PRE PG ENTRANCE”

when i started my career it was 2001 i.e.i completed my mbbs in 2007(to be precise 5 and a half years).then came this exam.they say it is the toughest one in india equivalent to upsc.100000 aspirants and only 1000 seats (thats an relative figure),th-atmeans if you ahve to get in you will have to kill the dreams of 99 other doctors.IS IT FARE?

It took me 3 attempts to get it cleared.i got in yhis year.

but teh problem is not it took my 3 years,the problem is i missed all parties,all family function,marriages,no friends,no girlfriend either.

but ya i got cleared, my family is happy, i m happy…………IS THAT SO?M I HAPPY?

this is not just my question, its every medicos question.

and the quest doesnt stops here.i will have to clear my final year md/ms exam after three years…….and afterthat again an ENTRANCE for DM/MCH…..WHAT THE F?
