PRAYER

The only boon I beseech of Thee,
O Lord of Lords, pray enlighten me;
With Wisdom Real and Knowledge True,
With Bliss eternal and ever new.

My spiritual thirst none else can satiate,
Nor from the vicious cycle extricate;
Thou and Thou alone can grant,
Thy Divine Benedictions- my only demand.

The company of the Holies I ever crave,
Who for Thy seekers path Divine pave;
Treading which, Truth Eternal they attain,
No suspicion, no doubt, in their minds remain.

ALL MY LIFE IN THY SERVICE I MAY SPEND,
ENLIGHTENED THUS MY LIFE MAY END.

    a very beautiful prayer indeed. know one thing pooja? i love this prayer for one great reason - it has mentions anywhere about wanting things at all… all it asks for is knowledge, wisdom and finally enlightenment. that should be the true quality of a prayer. O Lord, give me a job, give me a house, give me money, give me this, give me that.. that is not a prayer at all…. btw, how come it is appearing in the most recent post on the landing page? u have posted it in feb.. darn .. how did i miss this one? so so sorry… wishin you all the best.
