Today is Teacher’s Day. This day is celebrated as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by the teachers to the society.
In 1962, when Dr.S.Radhakrishnan, became President of India, some of his students & friends approched him & asked him permission to celebrate his birthday on 5th September. In reply he said, instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my privilage if this day is celebrated as Teacher’s Day. The request showed his love for the teaching profession. From that day onwards this day is celebrated as Teacher’s Day in India.
Teachers mold the life of every child as the lesson taught by the teachers remain with the student through out their life. We must always respect our Teachers.
This day is not only look after by the Teachers but also by the students. As on this day students dress up as teachers & take the responsibility from the teachers & try to behave like a teacher. Its really a fun. When we were in the school we used to dress up like our favourite teacher & use to teach as the way our respective teachers teach & our teacher use to judge us whether we are doing like this or not. Its really fun. I really miss those days.
Teachers need encouragement & support from the society to feel that their devotion to students is appreciated.
I would like to thank all my Teachers & Professors who help me in life throughout. They are like pillars of our life, if the pillars become weak we become weak. We become strong only when we get a teacher who is supportive, friendly & encouraging one.
I would like to thank all my Teachers for all their support & guidance in my life.

“The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind”. ~Khalil Gibran
Happy Teachers day!
Happy Teachers Day………. Nice article.
Very well written. A Guru is one who dispels Ignorance with a Sword of Knowledge. I personally feel Teacher is even greater than a Doctor; as the later identifies the problem and cures it but the former prevents the occurrence of the problem by making us aware with necessary Knowledge. Good Teachers who Motivate, Inspire, and who show us the way of Life with their Life and Character are need of the Hour. Whatever may be my career, i would breath my Last as a Teacher teaching Young ones to face all evil (Inferiority complexes, Phobias, Negative Emotions - - ) by pouring the Good and powerful Ideas into their Mind. I bow down to offer my pranams to all the Teachers who are True Nation Builders working Silently without caring for Name or FAme. - - - Raj
