Broadcasting my thoughts
Morning walks. Yes, most of us do this. Still there are people who religiously follow their routine. Come what may and they are on the track. Be it the hot summers or rains, the cold weather. No deterrent and no stoppage. These souls are there walking walking and walking.
The reasons may differ from person to person, yet the objective is the same — keep moving — keep walking. And believe me there are many benefits a walker tends to gain out of this exercise. Health benefits are there as we all know. Social networking is another major benefit. If one is open enough then u tend to make new frends and acquitances.Still some other benefits have been highlighted in that lovely movie– Jogger’s Park.
Well well. Come off it. I have an interesting thing to share with u all. During my morning walks i had been seeing a girl. Now please don’t jump to conclusions. I said –seeing. that is while in the park, daily i tend to notice a girl. Notice because i cannot (like all the other walkers) ignore this girl. Its due to her size. She was too fat and could barely walk. But yes, her determination was amazing. Daily at the fixed time, she was in the park and ignoring all the glances she walked and walked. From one circle of the park to three to ten to fifteen. The walking increased slowly and steadily. No change in routine, temperament. No side ward glances, but just concentration on her walking.
After returning from my outstation visit, i hit the track again after a few weeks. While crossing the tracks i noticed a familiar face. But i was not able to place it. On second thoughts i could make out. Yes the face was familiar but the person seemed new to me. No i was mistaken. it was the same girl. Now slim and trim after shedding all her weight.
What an achievement. Through Courage, conviction and commitment this girl has transformed her life. No drugs, medicines or slimming courses. Just control on her eating habits and walking ___ walking and walking.

Friends let me admit, I have been in love. It was love at first sight. I was in my teens and was awaiting the day when I would see my beloved. I fantasized about it day in and out. And one fine day it was there before me in all its pristine beauty. I was bowled over completely. Slowly our relationship grew. We both took time to understand each other. And then the going became smooth. The relationship grew deeper. Not a single day passed with out our interaction. On my part, I cared for her, caressed her, and cajoled her. And she on her part lay there before me. No resistance, no hard feeling. Only giving and sharing. Giving me confidence to face the world and sharing her majestic beauty that added to my personality also. But then friends as they say time changes. And with it changes many a lives. Likewise, I too had to accept the reality. One day she left me. I was devastated. Why was this done to me? What has been my fault? Was I too possessive? Or I had exceeded my limits. We both understood our limits and adhered to them religiously. But I think yes, this is the answer. I had intruded in her domain. This was wrong. If I had stayed within the defined limits I would not have lost her. Cool down friends. I have lost my moustache. This relationship started in teens and has continued till 20th January. On this day, I accidentally exceeded my limits and by mistake my electric razor surpassed the domain of my lovely moustache. And before I could act, react, understand the damage was done. With one clean sweep, my moustache was gone. Now I cannot withstand myself before the mirror. My parents, friends and relatives are making a beeline in this disgusting situation. They smile at me and show their sympathy. But I know?I have lost her. It will be weeks before she returns to me.

We tend to learn things daily.Though we may not understand and appreciate some of the things that we experience. Yet, over a period of time we are made to understand the things that remain unexplained to us. This i am saying from my personal experience. One of my professors has the habit of blessing us with his trade mark words- “Khush Rahiyye” - translated into English - “Be Happy”. The common blessing given by elders is — “Jeete Raheeye”– “Keep Living”.
I was unable to appreciate the meaning of these words while i was one of his (best)student. At times i wondered on the message that was being conveyed to me by these words. No doubt studies were taking its toll on me.But i had been a cheerful person in every kind of situation. Then, what exactly did the Professor mean by this blessing.
Now after coming into job and interacting with so many people with diverse backgrounds, cultures, education,i understand the true meaning of these two words. One may be cheerful at heart but the circumstances around you may not let you be happy and cheerful. Then there are colleagues, friends, relatives who will try to make your life miserable and enjoy at your plite. This may be out of habit, compulsion, rat race, jealosy or otherwise.
Yet in the given scenario - if one hears these two soothing words - Be Happy then it seems soothing and the faith in life gets restored. For there are still some people around you who do not want you to fail, let down, get bogged by your cicumstances, face the world and life as it comes before you.
Moreover one may be wealthy, may have acquired a status in the society, yet its not a guarantee that he may be happy in life.
“Jeete Raheeye” is needed. But then what is the use of a long life devoid of happiness.
Blessed i feel, with these thoughts and wish that i get to hear these words too often from the same gentlemen for years to come. Thankyou sir, for adding this positivity in our lives.

MUMBAI BLASTS
Words cannot cover this
death,destruction and pain
certainly something has gone wrong
though no one can explain
this is not the country that whole world ‘longed’
for, as per our history and record
WE INDIANS,do believe and practice
forgive and forget all
But time and again innocent lives are lost
and we do nothing except cry hoarse
and blow our tops
Now is the time to act, to take steps
and bring these traitors of humanity on their knees,
for ‘they’ have no right to ‘be’
so, strike before they act and destroy this ‘weed’

First it was Naina Devi temple and now Chamunda devi stampede. Once again innocent lives have been lost. Just like that 100s of citizens lost their lives at these palces. Who do we hold responsible for this? Are we to blame the citizens who out of devotion throng these religious places in large numbers to seek blessings of the diety. Or the administration who have highly paid officials on its roll, be held guilty. As usual, some compensation amount will be declared for the dead and the injured. A commission of inquiry will be constituted to 'locate' fault if any. The news channels will keep on repeating the ghastly sight of the dead and the wailing relatives/kin. But it is time we all sit down and study the situation in right perspective.
We need to find answers for the following ' to draw a national policy on the crowd management at religious places, especially during fairs and special occasions. Draw a two or three tier system of crowd management. This is essential to ensure that if first line of action fails, then the second system automatically comes into play and like wise. Secondly ensure adequate police/paramilitary presence at these places. Take help of individual volunteers who can help/assist the law enforcing agencies. If required a small batch of devotes be allowed inside the religious place and when they come out, then the other batch be let in. Thirdly, use the Information technology tools as they are cost effective and convenient to use. Digital token system should be made mandatory for all the religious places. If this system has been a success at Tirupati then it makes sense to replicate this model across the country. This system ensured the crowd moves in an orderly fashion, all individuals are recorded and identified and unwanted elements stay away for the fear of being caught.
CCTV cameras should be installed along the length and breath of the religious site giving complete coverage to the area. This will help in nabbing the rumor mongers or other unsocial elements who want to take the benefit of large crowds and spread terror. Forth public address system should be effectively used to inform the visitors about the position inside the place of worship and to dispel any rumors that may be circulated by mischief elements. Fifth have two way systems for all the sites. That is entry and exit should be from different sides to have good control on public. Fifth clear the surroundings of the religious places. As has been seen shops and other establishments cover the religious sites to augment their sales. These greedy people usurp the common land leaving a small track for the visitors. Governments should ban construction activity in the vicinity of religious places altogether. Let there be a national policy that clearly defines this aspect keeping in view the safety of the visitors. Lastly bring the guilty for this type of lapse(s) to book and give punishment to ensure non repetition of this type of human error. Human lives are not so cheap to be lost in this manner.Political rallies are conducted where in huge crowds are present. No untoward incident has been reported in a political rally. It means the adminstration of that place is capable of managing vast numbers. Then one fails to understand the failure of these officials in case of general public. Enough is enough. Now the governments should wake up from slumber and ensure to protect the common citizens.May there be no repition of this type of incident at any place through out the country.

Friends,
Once again innocent people have been targeted in New Delhi. Every channel will run and rerun this news.Reams of paper will be devoted to condemn this cowardly act. Politicians will show sympathy towards the victims and their families/close relatives. Some monetary compensation will be announced for the affected people. Police and security agencies will become proactive after the blasts/incident. A few of the suspects will be rounded up.Slowly we all will forget this incident.
But, now is the time to find some solution for this menance. The human life is becoming insecure due to these acts. The whole of social fibre does get affected.
