I recently purchased this book from the market. I read this book under a different title “Ten Little niggers” when i was in my plus 2. This book is also has another title as “Ten little Indians”

The Story briefly goes like this:
Ten people were invited to an island by a unknown person. Each person is invited with a letter mentioning a close friends name as reference. The people invited includes 3 females, and 7 males of which one is a doctor, one judge, one army officer a cook and his wife, a school teacher etc. When they reach the destination they find that the host is not available but the cook and his wife receives them. The mystery begins then and there itself. One after the other each of the guests were murdered. Every one starts suspecting the other person as a murderer. Till the last one gets killed. There is a tray with ten nigger figures on the dining table. As soon as a person is killed one figure disappears mysteriously. All attempts made by the guests to escape from the island were futile and they have to die there only. But who is the murderer?

The book goes through many twists and u can not keep the book down till the last page.
No I am not going to reveal the suspence. read it and know that.
Clue:: Did u see the hindi movie “Gumnaam” ? This movie is based on this novel.
