    I would like a message to go to the editors of rediff.com.

    Increasingly rediff appears to be promoting a ‘wannabe’ culture of winning at all costs. The latest example of this is this headline ‘Spelling Bee: Indian-American kids disappoint’ and the accompanying slide show. For heaven’s sake they are kids - there is nothing wrong in having tried and not won - that they may win is an expectation that rediff may have had. So, it was wrong to have the expectation in the first place, but why blame the kids for it.

    A second disturbing trend is the ‘anti-establishment’ at all times stance of rediff. As a responsible purveyor of news, rediff needs to strike a balance in its reportage - if rediff has a point-of-view, it can be presented as an editorial rather than by distorting the data, ie the facts of the news.

    Lastly, quality is slipping - typos, incorrect links, 404 errors, etc.

    Please fix it if you do not want to loose at least one fan!

    Dear Editor,
    The rediff site is a link of suppressed people , who at least can offload their thoughts for general view, GOD KNOWS,if the concerned men at the helm of affirs care to see it!
    I appreciate your arrangement but anyway, have to mention here that the deletions on abuse reports are not very satisfying.It appears the person/persons in charge dont know many matters and take decisions arbitrarily!
    Secondly, it i a pity that the Indian glory that was achieved prior to invasions by muslims and rules by them and subsequent rule by the British, could be achieved had the politician-rulers by the name of Congress(Nehruian) would care to re-instate the principles of’Sanatan Dahrma’ boldly! But theywere apathetic to those because of British mesmerism , which has only increased all kinds of misrules and divisionism!
    The request is for starting a discussion through articles based on “Can ‘Sanatan Dharmic principles restore the glories of India again?”and such related topics

    if even 10% of what west bengal says was actually done…..it would have become what it pretend to be in really… the situation is basically all show and no work…whick is evidently reflected through the frequent bandhs over singur issue! what a protest need is a focus and direction….bengal seems to hang in ‘medias res’….

    Dear Rediff Editor, There seem to be quite a few blogs citing references to chats with useful information. Rather than proving the link to the chat page, it would be useful to provide the link to the transcript once the chat is over. Unfortunately, the chat page does not seem to contain the link to the transcript.

    Has rediff abolished readers’ comments? Why? When? What for? This was a chance to see how our fellow country men and women think.
    I for one was astonished to see the abyss that divides us based on religion. The comments could be used to constructively do something to reduce and eventually heal this rift.
    A pity if Rediff has eliminated readers’ contributions!
