I Love You

September 10, 2008 By: Alex Gomes Category: Love

http://i942.photobucket.com/albums/ad267/ali_mae420/Whatever%20pictures2/th78599ujk7x6t1lx.jpg

A little secret of our house living pattern ' whenever when any one of
us (Me, my son and my wife) feel overjoyed, very happy, lonely,
meeting after the whole day or  for no reason as such we have 'DilMuBarak' (emotional Hug)
similar to the one Munnabhai's JaduKi Jappi '.
It is one way of saying 'I love you' '. I care for you '. You are the
ultimate for me '.. but when I tell my son I love you he shys'. If
playfully I will make him to say I love you ' he won't '. He is shy or
his body language says this is not the way but he almost does 'DilMuBarak'
couple of times during the day even though he is 20 now and we started
'DilMubarak'when he was almost six years of age '

We live in an age wherein our daily utterances are often sprinkled with the choicest four
letter words, yet we rarely use the four letter word everyone longs to
hear - LOVE. And, strangely enough, although everybody is seeking the
holy grail of happiness, today we find that people feel insecure more
than ever before.

What is the reason for this? Happiness stems from being loved and wanted, one of the basic
psychological needs in each of us that demands fulfillment. People are
willing to go to any lengths to find love. Nations have gone to war,
kings have abdicated their thrones, and star-crossed lovers have made
suicide pacts - all for love.

On
the other hand, murders are committed, people exhibit aggression,
others withdraw into their shell, and some even take their own lives -
all for a lack of love. The
world”s first murder was a result of Cain”s envy, because he
perceived that God loved his brother, Abel, more. Marilyn Monroe had
the world at her feet, with fame and fortune, but overdosed because she
did not have the one thing she yearned for more than anything else - to
be loved and cherished.

The search for this “sweet mystery of
life” even leads young men and women to sell their souls and bodies for
what they crave. They know such love and attention will not endure, yet
they let their hearts rule their minds, and their emotions conquer
plain logic.

The word “love” may be only four letters long,
but it is the most powerful word in the world, because it describes the
awesome power residing in every human heart - emotion! But, it is a
double-edged weapon. It can spur on an individual to do heroic deeds on
one hand, as well as cause death and destruction on the other.

Love is, therefore, the engine that drives on people to accomplish the
impossible. But this engine, like any other, requires a certain brand
of fuel. Frequent refueling with the “I LOVE YOU” brand of high octane
fuel will keep this engine purring lovingly. And, the love will be
returned in equal measure, because those that are loved find it easy to give love back.

Being loved, and knowing that they are loved, makes people confident, relaxed
and happy. Look around you. If you see anybody “floating” along with a
secret smile on their face and a tune on their lips, you are looking at
someone that is loved - and knows it!

Must Read
Recently,
a well-known psychologist was working with a teenage boy who was having
serious problems. As they talked, the boy was asked as to whether his
parents loved him. The teenager looked up sadly and said, “I don”t know,
but if they do, they”ve never told me!”

Please don”t make the same mistake. To love without saying so is not enough.
People need to be told that they are loved. Again, and again, and again!
It is cruel and thoughtless to leave our loved ones in doubt about our affection for
them. It”s no use regretting later, when they are no more there to hear
you.

Since a year my son is in WKU, Bowling green, USA on
full scholarship on his tennis credential has now started saying 'I Love
You Pa',dear Ilanders it soothes all my emotions and increases one more
year of my life.

So
If you have a friend worth loving,
Love him. Yes, and let him know
That you love him, ere life”s evening
Tinge his brow with sunset glow.
Why should good words ne”er be said
Of a friend - till he is dead?

Turn Your Hurt - The Bible Way

September 08, 2008 By: Alex Gomes Category: To Ponder With

Hi Ilanders

Recently I have been ill-treated by the persons whom I love the most (Friends),
What he or she? Hey come on!!! Let it be that personal.
However, after going through 'Mind Power Program' of Dr. Sneh Desai I
have started doing meditation very regularly and as on now I am almost addicted to it.

So I was Pondering - How Should I react? They had done something wrong.
Should I strike back or tell others about it? Nope, that may make me
feel better for a while but it is not the thing to do to a person whom
you loved or still love.

God has given us a better way to respond.

What I am supposed to do? How do I start? I have deep liking for Ramayana and
Bible and read daily and I found from these Holy books a better way to respond  that one should in this kind of situation  begin  with rejoicing. It seemed to be hard at first to do it God's way but
looking towards the end results it became easier to do. I knew it will take
effort to go through the process but I wanted love to prevail as an end result.

Luke 6 says, 'Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and
when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach
you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man”s
sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven…' (Verses 22-23).

The next step is to 'Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use
you.' (Matthew 5:44).

This has helped me to get my focus off of myself and onto God's plan. It also helped me to
keep in mind that who the real enemy is. The devil sends people to offend
you and to steal the Word from you, to stop the anointing in you to do
God's work. Losing the anointing will block the blessings of God
reaching us.

There are so many things God wants to do for us.
But, if we keep resentment or do not forgive others, God will not be
able to do those things. Psalm 91 talks about the Lord being our refuge
and our fortress. It says that God will deliver us from every evil thing
and will give his angels charge over us to keep us in all of our ways.
But wait, if you look in the first verse of that chapter, it
starts off by saying, 'He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty'. If you strike back at
others and hold grudges against others, you will not be dwelling in
that secret place and therefore forfeit God's protection over you.

So by the Grace and Mercy of God, I would stay rooted in the Word of God
because temporary pleasure that I might get at striking back at others
is not worth losing the anointing of God on my life and losing His
blessings which He wants to give to me.

I am Free and Very Happy as I love Every Body and have no resentment what so ever'
Thank You God - Love You God.

Amazing? Huh

September 04, 2008 By: Alex Gomes Category: amazing

Hi Buddies

Mostly I don't blog my personal stuff,  office stuff, and family stuff but I blog something  'jara
hatke' as I want my blog to be a feel good factor place for buddies to enjoy
just like having Tea 'cha' we call it in Gujarati at the 'Kettly'

But some how I felt very strongly about a program I attended recently to share with you'll.  I am a voracious reader but forgetful (somewhat absentminded). Person.

Recently I read a book 'The Secret' it is fantastic book

revealing
the Law of Attraction. It also makes you understand the Law of Giving
and Receiving. After reading this book I got motivated to attend the
Dr. Sneh Desai's 'Mind Power Program' of two days at Grand Bhagwati
Hotel (The Star Studded) and the charges were Rs. 5K and timing from
7am to 7pm.

He is young man of almost 25 years of age and bubbling with confidence and
his teaching and sharing of knowledge was topmost. He is one of the few
Guys in Gujarat having Merc. He is also the youngest Master in India.

The benefits I Got '
My belief and thought pattern has changed for good

Able to solve problems efficiently

I can control pain

Default as Positive Thinker

Know how to attract abundance

Manage the sleep at my whims and fancies

I had couple of phobias which I left at the seminar hall and I am free from that

I have no tension whatsoever hence can control stress and attain mental peace

My self confidence, concentration, and creative power has enhanced

He has shown an excellent method to Attract Money and that is just excellent.  By
Grace of God I am well off but the way he has showed to handle money it
is just' no words to describe'I am very thankful to Dr. Sneh Desai.

He also taught us how to take a Mini Nap which compensates for the nine
hour sleep, how to set a Mental Clock, Third Eye (Astral Travel),
Pendulum Dowsing, Yoga Mudra and lot more.

He just proved through practicals that subconscious Mind is the gateway for success
(Our Conscious Mind has 10% Power and Subconscious Mind has 90% Power)
and how you can train your Subconscious Mind to get your DESIRED RESULTS.

MUST READ

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deson”t mttaer in waht

Amazing, huh?

See, how powerful the mind is? All it takes is the right way of thinking,
plus the proper attitude, and what is the right way of thinking?
It's simple. It's 'I can. Therefore, I will.'

She forgets what she is worth…

August 29, 2008 By: Alex Gomes Category: So True

When God created woman he was working late on the 6th day
An angel came by and said: 'Why spend so much time on that one?'

And the Lord answered:

'Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?'

'She must be washable, but not made of plastic, have more than 200 moving
parts which all  must be replaceable and she must function on all
kinds of food, she must be able to embrace several kids at the same
time, give a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken
heart and she must do all this with
only two hands'.

The angel was impressed.

'Just two hands….impossible!'

And this is the standard model?!

'Too much work for one day….wait until tomorrow and then complete her.'

'I will not', said the Lord. 'I am so close to complete this creation, which will be the favourite of my heart'.

'She cures herself when sick and she can work 18 hours a day'.

The angel came nearer and touched the woman.
'But you have made her so soft, Lord'

'She is soft”, said the Lord, 'But I have also made her strong. You can't imagine what she can endure and overcome.'

'Can she think?” the angel asked.

The Lord answered:

'Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate.”

The angel touched the woman's cheek….

'Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her.'

'She is not leaking….it's a tear' the lord corrected the angel

'What's it for?” asked the angel.

And the Lord said:

'Teas are her way of expressing grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride.'

This made a big impression on the angel; 'Lord, you are
genius.

You thought of everything. The woman is indeed marvelous!”

Indeed she is! Woman has strengths that amazes man. She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.

She holds happiness, love and opinions.

She smiles when feeling like screaming.

She sings when she feels like crying, crys when she is happy and laughs when she is afraid.

She fights for what she believes in.

Stand up against injustice.

She doesn't take 'no' for an answer, when she can see a better solution. She gives herself so her family can thrive. She takes her friend to the doctor if she is afraid.

Her love is unconditional.

She cries when her kids are victorious. She is happy when her friends do well.

She is glad when she hears of a birth or a wedding.

Her heart is broken when a next of kin or friend dies.

But she finds the strength to get on with life.

She knows that a kiss and a hug can heal a broken heart.

There is only one thing wrong with her

She forgets what she is worth…

Pass
this on to your lady friends to remind them how fantastic they
are….pass it on to males you know. Sometimes they need to be
reminded..!!!  Love You All. Take Care.

You May Be Mistaken!!!

August 21, 2008 By: Alex Gomes Category: Love, So True

Men, if you think you've got what it takes to turn the heads of the ladies, you may be mistaken! Likewise, fellas, you may indeed have what women want! A survey was taken of a group of women, ages 29-50 and listed below are some of their likes and dislikes when it comes to the male species!

POSITIVE FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
When asked the question 'What is the first thing you notice when you see or meet a man?' some of the responses included:

Probably his eyes - “the windows to the soul”; then his butt, for sure!

I like bigger guys. But I also notice white shirts and if a guy is clean cut.

Visually, his height/build (I like “em big) Personality-wise, intelligence and sense of humor rank high with me.

I always notice the eyes and overall cleanliness first. He doesn”t
have to be in a three piece suit but just clean, not stinky or wearing
holey clothes. A great smile doesn”t hurt either :)

Left ring finger, teeth and smell and in that order. If I see a man
is married, I rarely give him a second glance. If he's single I look at
his mouth to see if he has straight teeth (I had braces at 40 years
old, so I guess I expect straight teeth from grown men) and finally his
scent. I absolutely adore the smell of cologne on a man.

Well the first things I usually notice are his eyes and sense of
humor. Then if he was someone I was dating, I observe how he treats his
mother.

OK don”t laugh, but I guess I noticed teeth because I was a dental
assistant when I met my husband. Oh ya, I also tried to check out his
“package” but it was very hard to tell if anything was there!

His smile and physique.

Conversely, there are some things about a man that are an instant turn off to the gals.

NEGATIVE FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

Long hair, bad breath, body odor, “wimpy” or fem appearance.

Generally any kind of unkempt appearance.

No little tiny ones, short in height that is, I'm afraid I'll have to pass by those gents who are vertically challenged.

Fuzzy sweater teeth and scuffed up, unpolished shoes.

Dirty hands, dirty nails.

I hate dirty ears. If the guy has earwax, I will notice immediately
and it makes me gag! I would never be able to date someone who doesn”t
clean his ears regularly.

Long fingernails and dirty/too long/unkempt hair.

Looking at my body instead of my face. Use of vulgar or profane
language. Intoxication or drug usage. Evidence of poor personal care
habits.

So there you go, men. The women have spoken. Basically if you smile
and don't stink, you have an 'in'. Conversely, if your personal hygiene
leaves much to be desired, you can forget it. Now go wash your hands,
get a hair cut, use a q-tip, brush your teeth and smile pretty for the
babes! :) :) :)
