   Hi Akshay, I feel you have taken it rather personally. Everyone has different perceptions of the same thing. But you know what both of you mean well - the unity of the nation but in different understandings. It is true that there are more diversitites in HInduism due to the caste system and all Hindus need to do away with these differences. Your post was well intended, but you see, even the BJP, VHP, RSS are calling for exactly the same thing - the oness of Hindus to promote Hindutva. In this context your post can be seen as a step in that direction and your good itentions easily misunderstood.
   The truth is more than that meets the eye, is’nt it? There are divisions in all religions. Even the muslims are divided, that’s why we have a yawning gap between the very few elite muslims and the poor, illiterate muslims. That’s why it is far more important to be a good human being first. Just take it easy and accept that people understand things in their own ways and we

    People who opt for cosmetic surgery may have low self-esteem or they may do it out of professional demands but this weight-loss programs are being such a fad and fashion that it is poisoning the present generations psyche to believe that thin is the only way to be! All the moolah wasted on a waist line could be put to better use only if the collective consciousness of the society can be directed to more appropriate and urgent issues, don’t you think? Why not make sponsoring a child’s education become a fad or fashion, what say?

    there its fixed, i now show up in your friends list. as for the ‘letting others know’ rediff will automatically send a mail to ppl in ur friends list everytime u post a blog. and vice versa. sometimes it might not work, so it wont hurt to visit a friend’s site once in a while. also sometimes the mail will be stored in “junk mail”. hope that helped. q:
