Thank You, my Islander Friends

I have heard a lot of comment on the attitude of bloggers, chatters, and serious writers. This is not to say that a serious writer cannot be a blogger and vice versa, for we have examples of Lissome Lady, Ekantphadika, Jolly Jacob, Kush, Prabodh, PG Nair,Vivek, etc and also G Man, Sarath Chandra, TW and many others.

I have found that the range in chatters, esp. those who were in 1 2 3 and Rediff was much greater than one finds on the Island. Rediff chat was a unique forum where diversity was lived and practiced; it was a forum from where I picked up many friends who have stayed thus after all these years.

Good Friends I have also found a few in the Island also, I don't want to name any, but they mean a lot to me. The one thing in common amongst all these has been their sharp intellect; what has varied is their expression, determination and aspiration.

It is a pity that a few who could have been good friends could not- must be more due to my idiosyncrasies than any shortcoming of theirs.

I want to thank all of them, and say that I am proud of being accepted by you, and that you mean everything to me.

Amit, we are richer knowing you, seriously:-) Waise aap itne bhavuk kyon ho gaye? Your friend Dubeyji has a habit of becoming very emotional whenever the opportunity presents itself. Lagta hai, you guys have more in common than was evident to us. Well , I know you don”t believe in all this …but may be, as Jamaal says in Slum dog Millionaire..it is written that some people meet and become friends and some meet and go their separate ways.

Amit what you mean to me cannot be put into a comment. In a nutshell you are the true essence of the benefits of my virtual experiences on the net. It defies all cynics and exemplifies the nature of how minds can meet and gell under all circumstances, even when the stimulus of direct sensory experiences are absent. It is truly amazing of the Brave New World we live in… then to find out that it matches everything to a T in real.. is a bonus that smashes all boundaries and qualifications we put on human bonds, friendships and soul mates.

Amit, if someone has not befriended you when given a chance, it is their loss!!!!! Our case was strange in that I knew you before I met you on chat..(thanks to our good ole hot headed Jat friend ).. but I would bet my last rupee on you….than anyone else to have as a last friend standing!!!! you taught me many things just by being you…. though I cant claim I am successful in imbibing the lessons learnt… ( NOW I FORBID you from talking abt smoking!!! )
