The exposures by WikiLeaks reveal that you cannot be sure about any leaders. All politicians say one thing aloud and have something else on their sleeves. We just cannot be sure about any leaders. Today one may seem to be the most honest politician in the world; tomorrow he may turn out to be the most corrupt. One may praise you publicly, but secretly he may be calling names. One may show himself to be the most helpful, but he may actually be thinking of destroying you.
What is true of nations, may be true of individual relations too, including in families. You simply cannot be sure about anyone’s friendship - a nation’s, a politician’s, a person’s.
Can anyone be trusted 100%?

Very rightly inferred. We can’t trust “individuals”. This is why a proper “system” is very necessary. As my ex-boss used to say, “persons should not work; system should work.”
I am sure that if we make a system with enough checks-and-balances, then no dishonest or untrustworthy person would be able to harm our interests. And if he/she does, the system would catch him/her in no time. Here, technology comes to a great help…
But no one can stop the creativite-destruction of human brain…
