In the TV programme, Awakening with Brahma Kumaris, Sister Shivani said that relations based on mutual love and understanding are good, but all attachments are bad and invariably result in fear. Whenever we are attached with a person or a thing, we are afraid of being separated or losing. In relationships, hearts are connected; in attachments hurt is involved. She asked to do an experiment. If you are attached with a person, imagine that he has gone far off and think about your life without him or her. If you are attached to a thing, imagine your life without that particular thing and ultimately you’d become free of that attachment. There won’t be any outward different in dealing with that person or thing, but inward, there would be a sea change.
Now there is a relation instead of attachment.
