The creative talent of our contestants is amazing. I personally feel the judges should not know who the contestants are nor should the contestants before and after the award know who the judges are. This will enable the iland contests to be free and fair. Not that it has not been. The comments can be published as they make interesting reading. Overall I agree it is a valuable effort and kudos to all specially Sandy.

Same people again and again. I agree with Dee on that. I am sure Zeus, Dee, Deepa will be front runners this time too. Nothing wrong with that but need to widen the base. How? Suggest that you don”t mention all the entrants at the time of result announcement baring the winners and couple of special mentions. U had 10 participants in the first, and more or less the same the second time. A target of 15 must be feasible if you force prolific bloggers like FG, Trishna, Sue, Hells Angel and whatever. Even a direct mailer to these people - it’’s easy to identify these people by the number of blogs in a month. If more that 4, go for them and bribe them in to participation. I am retired and off the scene but can always lend my brain to a nice event. BTW, atleast make it quarterly for the heat to settle down

Totally agree Dee…how am I to put it on the front page…my own blogs are gone and this time…never mind that (i”ll crib crib later)…This is the front page as far as the contest is concerned…though I”m grateful to Sandeep who has promised to publicise it a bit. It should not affect them negatively. As it is there are more hits on their pages because of it…

I am trying… though not sure of the humour in me… but must say, its going to be real tough to argue on it. i mean, i may not even have 1000 words for it. its a topic for which i may not find words to explain… let me think over still. anyways, thanks for taking the pains to leave a msg on my guestbook… from the past 3 days i was visiting ur iland, but disappointed since the november contest wasnt announced. now that its mentioned, i will have to really scratch my head for it… :-((( all the best to all the participants… including me…Geeeeeeee.
