Close to heart

March 17th, 2011

Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day, and realize that you’ve lost a diamond, while you were too busy in collecting stones,,,

MY DEAR FRIENDS

February 22nd, 2008

My dear friends, I am living in this world of blogs with you and am enjoying the warmth of your love and closeness, since last a few months. I don't know if at all, all know me? I feel a need to introduce my self. My name is Inder Mohan Vig. My date of birth as per records is 2nd of august 1949 though I believe it's not true. An ancient type of available Janam patree, which my mother had got made from our family purohit, shows it as 11th of December 1948, on Saturday, time as 12.35 noon in Delhi. I have two elder and a younger brother and all are happily placed taking cares of their own families. Sad and unfortunate part is that I don't have any sister nor have any daughter of mine own. My mother was from an educated family as she was a daughter of a secondary school head master. She too used to behave more like a head master when she was young and dominated the family affairs as my father was so humble and of too kind and loving nature. I find my self more like my father and; am different from my three brothers as I am not having a business / calculative type of nature. My father was a land lord and was basically a farmer. He expired when he was only 60 years old. My parents belonged to Punjab of before partition. Ours was a religious family and I happened to grow under the shadows of saintly natured people, as our family firmly believed in God and Gurus. Puja path was very much in the family. Most of my child hood I spent in the village away from Delhi in the shadows of my Dadee, my Tau and his family and my Bua i.e. sister of my father, Whom we all, also addressed to as Behan Jee. She was a real saint and stayed unmarried thro out of her life. She was so inspirational to us all and was like a Jagat Behan Jee. Behan Jee was of godly and very devotional nature and possessed a huge knowledge of spirituality. My mother was also from Guru Nanak's family and Guru Nanak is still held as too respected and esteemed by us all.

I have not remained the same as I was when I was born. Time and life are some how interconnected. This is what I have felt and have experienced in a life span of mine which is still on the go. I have lost most of my inspirational elder family members. Now I have a loving and caring wife, two sons who are well placed now, a charmingly loving daughter in law and a little angel sheetal as my grand daughter. Both of my sons are software engineers and the younger one, aged 27 years (Dec-80, birth), who frequently visits USA due to his project assignments of his company is awaiting to be got married. My only unfinished responsibility is to get him married at the earliest and we are looking for a like minded good natured girl as my son wants us only, to perform this duty. once he gets married the only real worry for me will remain as to fear about what will happen to me and how will I be able to manage my last part of life. When I say I, I mean me and my beloved wife.

Life keeps on getting changed with the passage of time. Why the life changes? What makes it to change? What gets changed? All such questions always keep haunting me too the way these are haunting to many of us.

At this stage of my life I feel like knowing about "The life."

What exactly life is? Though it is also important to understand how life gets made, it will be more important first to know what makes a life, I mean what consists of life. As far as my understanding goes, I find it to be a game of four, a physical body, a mind, a soul and the charge levels of our own aura.

We are different today then what we were as a new born. The equation and harmony which these four had then has changed a lot.

I have also learnt that life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. With every passing breath, life shortens and end becomes closer…so let the moments not pass away uselessly and get wasted.

The charge of our aura which we get at the time of our birth i.e. the family in which we get reborn keeps on getting recharged thro the waves we receive from our surroundings, from our family members which stay in our vicinity and the efforts which we of our own make to retain the connections with the one which resides and keeps sounding within us and who, when we were born always kept making us to stay put with him and listen to his sound only, He who took six months to build us from a brown liquid to a fully developed human creature by keeping us feeded and connected through our novel vein with our mother, till we arrived in this universe. The first thing which we had to experience after we got born was getting disconnected from that feed and connections which HE; and only HE knows, is of what worth and complications.

I don't know why I felt like writing all this. But felt so, so I wrote. Thank you all, my friends I love you and wish you all to stay connected with me. Stay nearer to me always, you do add to my aura .

With lots and lots of love and affections,

I stay yours own one. Forget me not please.

The Wise Sage

Author Unknown

There once was a wise sage who wandered the countryside. One day, as he passed near a village, he was approached by a woman who told him of a sick child nearby. She beseeched him to help this child.

So the sage came to the village, and a crowd gathered around him, for such a man was a rare sight. One woman brought the sick child to him, and he said a prayer over her.

“Do you really think your prayer will help her, when medicine has failed?” yelled a man from the crowd.

“You know nothing of such things! You are a stupid fool!” said the sage to the man.

The man became very angry with these words and his face grew hot and red. He was about to say something, or perhaps strike out, when the sage walked over to him and said: “If one word has such power as to make you so angry and hot, may not another have the power to heal?”

And thus, the sage healed two people that day.

Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers,

but to be fearless in facing them.

Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain,

but for the heart to conquer it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

"Abandoning all duties, take refuge in me alone.

I shall liberate you from all sins, do not grieve".

We should completely surrender to his will and take shelter in his love.

"Surrender is the easiest way of self transcendence".

The finite soul alone cannot deliver it self from the trap in which it has been caught.

"He only is fit to contemplate the divine light who is the slave to nothing, not even to his virtues".

In order to get rid of all negative tendencies, unhealthy thoughts, anxiety and worries, one should totally surrender to the higher power which implies opening one's mind without any reservations and doubts, to the inflow of divine consciousness.

The needed guidance will come spontaneously

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL LET GO OF ANGER;

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL LET GO OF WORRY;

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL LIVE AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE;

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL DO MY WORK HONESTLY;

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL LOVE AND BE KIND TO ALL LIVING BEINGS;

ANGER IS DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO WEAK POINTS IN OUR EGO AND IS TRIGGERED WHEN OUR EGO IS HURT. THE EMOTION RELEASES TOXIN IN OUR SYSTEM WHICH DESTROY OUS OUR INNER HARMONY THERE BY BLOCKING US FROM LOVING UNCONDITIONALLY AND IN TURN SEPARATING US FROM THE UNIVRSAL CONSCIOUSNESS.

WORRYING SEPARATES US FROM UNIVERSAL WHOLENESS.WORRYING HAS NEVER HELPED IN SOLVING PROBLEMS. IT ALSO PRODUCES A RUSH OF HARMFULL TOXINS IN OUR SYSTEM WHICH BLOCKS OUR EMMOTIONS."CHINTA CHITA SAMAAN HAI"

GRATITUDE OPENS THE DOOR WAY AND IT IMPLIES THAT WE COUNT NOT ONLY OUR PRESENT BLESSINGS BUT ALSO WHAT WE TRUST WILL BE PROVIDED.SUCH AN ATTITUDE KEEPS ALL THE MATERIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRTUAL DOORS OPEN TO US.

HONESTY WITH OUR SELVES CREATE HARMONY IN OUR LIVES AND ALIEGN US TO OUR HIGHER SELF.HONEST LIVING LEADS TO THE PRACTICE OF TRUTHFULLNESS AND EMPOWERS OUR WORDS TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT THEY BECOME CAPABLE OF FRUCTIFICATION AT WILL.

THE AFFIX OF THE WORD TODAY IN EACH PRECEPT POINTS TO THE IMPORTANCE OF THE PRESENT MOMENT,WHICH IS KEY TO ALL SPIRTUAL AWAKENINGS…THIS RESULTS IN SPIRTUAL HEALING AND RELEASE FROM KARMIC BONDAGE OF ILLNESS AND SUFFERINGS,PURSUING THEM IS BOUND TO FILL OUR LIFE WITH LOVE, JOY AND BLESSINGS.

It is easy to criticize than to appreciate.

It is easy to judge than to accept.

It is easy to react than to respond.

It is easy to be impulsive than to be mindful.

It is easy to stay stagnant with comfort than to take risk and flow with life.

It is easy to escape from a situation than to face it.

It is easy to confront than to console.

It is easy to speak than to listen.

It is easy to be serious than to laugh.

It is easy to get caught in worldly activities than to relax.

It is easy to blame than to take responsibility.

It is easy to get discouraged than to rely on inner strength.

It is easy to be fearful and worried than to trust.

It is easy to be in the known than the unknown.

It is easy to resist than to surrender;

***************

Your peace of mind, happiness and gaiety, you waste all these precious assets by giving importance to silly issues. Even when you are confronted with sarcastic remarks, keep your cool and take it easy.

It is easier said than done. Surely, mere efforts at behavior level to change your attitude are not enough. In Thailand, a statue of Buddha was being transported from one place to another. There was a heavy downpour. Devotees tried to cover the statue with umbrellas and leaves of coconut tree. But the giant statue got drenched and the mud covering of the statue began to wash away.

To every ones surprise, what was revealed was a sparkling golden statue of Buddha beneath. Years ago, this earth covering was deliberately created to detract thieves. Devotees who were unaware of this fact took it as a mud statue and worshiped it.

In reality, this is our story. Your personality consists off several layers. But you are not aware that beneath all these layers lies your real golden Buddha.

“You may control a mad elephant;
You may shut the mouth of the bear and the tiger;
Ride the lion and play with the cobra;
By alchemy you may earn your livelihood;
You may wander through the universe incognito;
Make vassals of the gods; be ever youthful;
You may walk on water and live in fire:
But control of the mind is better and more difficult.”

Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts. Develop the mind of equilibrium. You will always be getting praise and blame, but do not let either affect the poise of mind; fallow the calmness, the absence of pride.

Every one of us on the planet at some time or other has probably given thanks to an unseen power, irrespective of the faith we were born in to, or follow.

There is one god, there is one earth, and there is divinity in each person and every living thing. If we join together under the canopy of the sky and the scared earth and shared in god's bounties we should find the peace and love which we all pray for.

What a heaven this world would be if, we treated each other with kindness and sweetness.

Some people feel that they can get the best out of others by being forceful, harsh and critical. Hardly anyone responds positively to such treatments. We feel that we have to treat others severely to get them to do any thing. However the opposite is true. We can be more persuasive by using the power of love and gentleness. People get discouraged when they are spoken to harshly or abruptly. They shut down and withdraw. But when people are given loving and encouraging words, they want to go out of their way to do more

How can we attain this level of kindness? It is often said that in order to attain outer peace there must be first inner peace. If each person would attain inner peace and treat others with love and kindness, it would not be long before we find outer peace reigning in this world.

Adding honey to life makes the world more loving, adding warmth of love makes things go more smoothly.
