“Prayer within breath is silence”

  • The greatest power is in surrender, surrender to the Divine.
  • When you praise someone, you take on their good karma. When you blame someone, you take on their bad karma.
  • Performing actions cannot eliminate karma. Only through grace can the bondage of karma be burnt.
  • Prarabdha karma cannot be changed. Sanchita karma can be changed by spiritual practices.
  • Behind every activity, pleasant, unpleasant, chaotic, harmonious, is one Divinity.
  • A mind without agitation is meditation.
  • Love is seeing God in the person next to us, and meditation is seeing God within us.
  • A state in which you feel absolutely comfortable, 100% comfort that is meditation.
  • The Self is the center of the whole creation.
  • The entire universe is just an ex-pression, projection, of the Being, of the Self. Within this small body, you are able to experience the infinite space.

ANY THOUGHT WE HARBOUR OR PONDER UPON IN OUR MIND CONSTITUTES AS OUR KARMA.

KARMA IS BASICALLY AN ACTION OF OURS WHICH PRODUCES A REACTION WHICH WE WILL HAVE TO FACE . NOTHING GOES UNNOTICED AS EVERY ACT REACTS.

Karma has three levels, the first, called sanchita karma, and is the level of past actions that are waiting to produce a reaction. The second, called the prarabda karma is the level of past actions whose reactions are fully manifesting, being responsible for our present life and creating its circumstances. The third level agami karma is of actions triggered in the future by our present actions.

It is the duty of every human to take care of the other, the Holy Scriptures state that the share of poor and needy persons has been fixed in the wealth of the rich. The just due should be transferred without hesitation otherwise the system will fail and disallow overall human development.

Meditation is to be aware of every thought and of every feeling, never to say it is right or wrong, but just to watch and move with it. In that watching you begin to understand the whole movement of thought and feeling. And out of this awareness comes silence. Silence and thought put together start stagnating - this silent stagnation is meditation.

Meditation is a state of mind which looks at every thing with complete attention, totally, not parts of it. And no one teach you how to be attentive. If any system teaches you how to be attentive, then you are attentive to the system. Meditation is greatest art of life- perhaps the greatest, and one cannot possibly learn it from any body, that is the beauty of it. It has no technique and there fore no authority. when you learn about yourself, watch your self, watch the way you walk, how you eat, what you say, the gossip, the hate, the jealousy-if you are aware of all that in your self, without any choice, that is part of meditation.

Meditation can take place when you are sitting in a bus, or walking in the woods full of light and shadows, or listening to the singing birds, or looking at the face of your spouse or child.

Meditation contributes to physical and mental well being. It is safe, effective, and costs nothing. Once we learn how to meditate, we carry with us a ready remedy which we can use at any time and place.

In meditation, we select a pose in which we can remain quite and calm. The process of meditation helps our attention focus on a point between and behind the two eyebrows. In this way we withdraw attention from our outer body. The body then becomes as relaxed as it is in sleep.

In meditation, brain waves function at a frequency where there is a sensation of peace and total relaxation. Meditation on the inner light and sound puts us in contact with a radiant energy coming from states beyond the physical world. It is a powerful current of divine love, consciousness and bliss.

It is a spiritual experience beyond measurement. The current is within each person and can be contacted at the third or the single eye. It provides us with much more than physical relaxation. Our body mind and soul experiences waves of ecstasy permeating through every part of us. This experience arises from our innermost self, our soul, coming in contact with its own essence in the form of light and sound. This stream was the force that brought every thing in to being. Our soul is a drop of that essence.

We are only aware of our body and mind. We are oblivious to our true nature, the soul, in meditation, when the body and mind are stilled; we become aware of our nature as soul. When soul is withdrawn and is collected at third eye, it is at the contact point with the inner light and sound. When the soul meets the current it is magnetized, it is like a water droplet resting on a table top. If you run a stream of water across it, the drop will attach it self to the stream and merge in to it. Similarly when our soul concentrates at the point where the current begins, at the third eye, it will be drawn to merge in it. We then start to travel on the current. Our soul rises above consciousness of the body and enjoys a journey in to higher realms.

DEVTA,MANUSHYA,ASURA

June 4th, 2008

Mind can not be made pure even with a million rituals.

Silence of tongue does not silence the mind even when prolonged.

Inwardly unsatisfied do not find satisfaction even with all the word's goods.

Even with a million clever thoughts not even one accompanies you (at death).

How to break the veil of illusion? says Nanak;"accept the will (Hukum) enshrined already within your own self."

All human beings fall in to three categories; those who try to do well to others, even if it means putting them selves in to trouble are "Devata". They are like trees that gave shade to even to those who are cutting them down.

Next come those, who do well to others only if it means it involves no loss or trouble to them. But they desist from doing anything bad," Mera bhee kalyan, tumhara bhee kalyan", such persons are Manushya.

The last category is those who do not mind putting themselves in to trouble or loss to harm others. They feel delight in seeing others in trouble. They are Asura.

It is not easy being Devata. However, while we try to be at least Manushya, we can surely refrain from being Asura.

"In Japan the walls of the house are generally wooden and have hallowed space. During renovation work in one of the houses, when the wall was being repaired, the owner noticed a lizard in side the hallow space, stuck to the wall. When it didn't leave that place, he found that a nail hammered from outside had passed through one of its feet to the other end which didn't allow it to move. He realized that the nail was driven when the wall was constructed a few years back. So how could the lizard survive all these years without food? He stopped the work to study the amazing spectacle. To his bewilderment, another lizard was feeding this lizard. If a tiny lizard could feed another lizard for years without giving up hope then a man who is supposed to be endowed with best of senses should display greater empathy, compassion and love…"

We know that fire is hot and we accept that fact. If we are burnt by touching fire, we don't blame it. If a whole house is burnt down, we may condemn other factors or blame our negligence but would accept fire as it is. Its place is undeniable and is not rejected.

Similarly we accept the coolness of ice, the beauty of flowers, fruits, trees and plants. Again if we are admiring a beautiful, full moon and some one else comes and starts appreciating it, we don't say, why are you looking at my moon? You have no right to see it. There is no sense of ownership no possessiveness; there is acceptance without any projection of likes and dislikes.

The most difficult thing to do is to live in peace and harmony with people. It is perhaps easier to live with birds and animals. Why is living with people a problem?

I saw a sticker that said, "Don't try to change me. Accept me as I am". It is important to understand the message clearly and completely. The message is that one should accept the fact as it is.

A thing of beauty for you is a thing of beauty for others as well. If you admire some one, others too will admire that as well.

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever for you as well as to all viewing that. Just don't envy. A wise person moves every where with love and affection. Like the wind blowing freely. He does not get attached to anything. He accepts all. Such a man of wisdom lives with his senses under control, free from personal likes and dislikes, and there fore enjoys every object, place, situation and person".

A Difficult Judgment !!

A Difficult Judgment !!

In a small town, a person decided to open up his "Bar" business, which was right opposite to a Temple. The Temple & its congregation started a campaign to block the Bar from opening with petitions and prayed daily against his business.

Work progressed. However, when it was almost complete and was about to open a few days later, a strong lightning struck the Bar and it was burnt to the ground.

The
Temple folks were rather smug in their outlook after that, till the Bar owner sued the Temple authorities on the grounds that the Temple
through its congregation & prayers was ultimately responsible for the demise of his Bar shop, either through direct or indirect actions or means.

In its reply to the court, the
Temple
vehemently denied all responsibility or any connection that their prayers were reasons to the Bar shop’s demise. As the case made its way into court, the judge looked over the paperwork at the hearing and commented:

I don’t know how I’m going to decide this case, but it appears from the paperwork, we have a Bar owner who believes in the power of prayer and we have an entire
Temple and its devotees that doesn’t.”

What is sin?

Not knowing what we are doing is the greatest sin. We do stay unaware about our doings. Most of our acts we conduct, while staying unconscious about them. Even we don't stay aware about our own body limbs. Do we always stay aware about our face expressions, movement of our hands, arms, eyes, legs feet etc, while walking, talking, speaking, hearing or seeing? Most of the times not!

Sin is denying your own divinity. There is no virtue greater than the constant awareness of your own, inherent godliness.

"The original Hebrew world for sin is very beautiful. The original Hebrew word for sin is so totally different from your idea of sin that it will be a surprise to you. The root word means forgetfulness. It has nothing to do with what you are doing. The whole thing is whether you are doing it with conscious being or out of unconsciousness. Are you doing it with self remembering or have you completely forgotten yourself?"

Any action of unconsciousness is sin. The action may look virtuous, but it cannot be. You may speak the truth, you may avoid lies; you may try to be moral, and so on and so forth. But if all this is coming from unconsciousness, it is all sin.

Jesus has a tremendously significant saying. He says, "If your right eye causes you to sin, take it out and throw it away. It is much better for you to loose a part of your body than to have your whole body thrown in to hell."

What he means is this; if your right eye causes you to forget yourself, then take it out and throw it away. That is just to emphasis the fact. He is not saying anything that has to be taken literally. He is saying that it is better to be blind than to be forgetful of yourself, because the blind man who remembers himself is not blind, he has the real eye. But if a man who has eyes forgets himself, what is the use of having eyes? He who cannot see even himself, what ELSE can he see?

ya khuda, forgive us perhaps we know not what we are doing?

Vipassana is a meditation practice propagated by the Buddha; it is useful for calming the mind and nerves and removing stress.

In this era, most people are not interested in dharma and mokhsha. Of the four purusharthas, now only two are being full filled; Artha and Kama, when you go into Artha and Kama without the balancing effects of Dharma and Moksha, you will have mental tensions, worries, feelings of insecurity and fear. The mind will; be troubled, full of passion, anger, remorse and regret. Practices like vipassana can be used to keep the mind calm and balanced.

In all relationships there are feelings of insecurity and fear. The mind becomes dissipated, filled with anger, passion and guilt. One moment you are fighting and the next you are friendly again. In the evening you quarrel and by morning you are friends. You say sorry, and its over, but all this creates tension. When you come to a really hot point, you have a shower, and then you feel better. Similarly at times of tension you can do vipassana.

When you play a transistor for 24 hours will the battery go flat, or not? If you switch it off, the battery will last longer. That is the importance of Mauna. In speaking, listening, thinking, walking, I am using up the battery energy. Our battery energy is pranic energy. This pranic energy is used up quickly in talking, in worrying, in passions. This pranic energy that is spent up on all our activities should be conserved. Conservation of prana is the solution to our energy crises. if you can stay silent for some time, then the mental energy is conserved.

My guru said ,he  saw Gandhi ji during his youth. Even in old age he had surprising purushartha. He was always calm and quiet despite political upheavals, clashes and killings. So a person who can keep himself calm in the midst of money and passion is worthy of praise.

Just as all rivers flow into sea and lose their individual existence at that point, in the same way, let all of your desires and fantasies flow, then anchor them at the point where they cease flowing. That central point has to be located, then you move beyond vipassana or you will remain struck there.

OF COURSE EASIER SAID THEN DONE heheeeeeeee but worth knowing .isn't it?
