Enjoy it.

A jumbo jet is making its final approach to Coolangatta Airport.

The
pilot comes on the intercom, ‘This is your Captain.  We’re on our final
descent into Coolangatta. I want to thank you for flying with us today
and hope you enjoy your stay in the Gold Coast.

He forgets to switch off the intercom. Now the whole plane can hear his conversation from the cockpit.

The co-pilot can be heard saying to the pilot, ‘So, Skip, whatcha got planned while we’re on the Gold Coast?’

‘Well,’
says the skipper, ‘first  I’m gonna check into the hotel, take a big
crap…..then I’m gonna take that new stewardess with the huge tits out
for dinner…. I’m gonna wine and dine her, take her back to my room
and give her a ride on the baloney pony all night long.’

Aghast and amused, everyone on the plane hears this and immediately begins looking
up and down the aisle, trying to figure out who this new stewardess is that the pilot’s talking about.

Meanwhile,
the new stewardess is seated at the very back of the plane. She is so
embarrassed that she starts running toward the cockpit to turn the
intercom off.

Halfway down the aisle, she trips over an old lady’s bag and down she goes.

The old lady leans over and says: ‘No need to hurry, dear.  He’s gotta land the plane and take a shit first!’

Tribute To An Avid Tweeter On His Untimely Demise http://blogs.rediff.com/janamtapitright/2009/12/21/tribute-to-an-avid-tweeter-on-his-untimely-demise/ http://blogs.rediff.com/janamtapitright/2009/12/21/tribute-to-an-avid-tweeter-on-his-untimely-demise/#comments Mon, 21 Dec 2009 15:44:35 +0000 Laughing Happily http://blogs.rediff.com/janamtapitright/?p=68 This morning I was shocked to learn about the sudden demise of a tweeter @instockmarkets whose real name is Rajneesh. I have been following him on Twitter for just about two months and in these two months I have found him to be a man full of zest for life and great enthusiasm. I was initially drawn to him by his Twitter ID @instockmarkets which showed that he invested in stocks. I being a small investor, who had only seen losses on the stock market asked him for tips on how to turn losses into profit, he told me that one must always keep a stop loss. When I told him that I never keep a stop loss probably that is why i make such large losses, he told me that with a stop loss you get small losses but without a stop loss you get a heart attack.

Over a period of these two months, I gradually got to know him as a man full of enthusiasm. he was an avid tweeter and always full of life. He always had a kind word for everyone. A day prior to his demise he tweeted  “@dodge_67 haha go ahead … whatever suits you …. i do not drink at all ….lol” and “@dodge_67 haha …. i cannot consume alcohol ….else some medical problem will trigger off .. lol” Little did he know that God had planned somethign different. He wrote to me “@mercuryman3a saw your image in large size on tweetdeck … good personality sir !”

This morning when I learnt from Umesh Dhingra (Twitter ID @ud_iit) that Rajneesh was no more, I was shocked.  I did not expect to get such news on twitter.

i know twitter is a very impersonal place where people hardly know each other personally and just know people by their ID. you are not a person but and ID. You may never meet, you may never know each other but still you interact. People follow you or unfollow, block you or unblock you depending on their personal whims and fancies. A lot of people thrive on the anonymity of the medium, yet a lot of friendships are forged here without actually meeting people and whom you may probably never meet in real life. Rajneesh was one such person who leaves an impact on you. He always had something to say. Three days back he was banned on Twitter for an hour. When I asked him what had happened, he said he was banned for over tweeting. He had sent tweet after tweet as a continuous stream. Sure enough after one hour he was back on twitter tweeting as usual. Probably he sensed that the end was near so he wanted to make the best of the time left.

In this short span of time I developed a sort of attachment to him. When I did not find him on twitter, for two days I ws wondering what was the reason. i did not know which city he lived in, I did not know anything about his personal life, I did not know how old he was, yet there was a bond of friendship. I learnt only this morning that he was only 44 years old.  He was staying with his father and was in perfect health. On19th morning he got up as usual and filled water etc and then felt a little uneasy and went to ly down for a while. When he did not get up for a long time, his father tried to wake him up. When he still did not get up, his father called his sister who stays in Haus khas, some 20KM away. When she came and he was taken to the hospital, he was declared brought in dead.

I pray to the Almighty to grant him eternal peace and to give strength to his family to bear the loss. This is my tribute the departed soul. I will miss a dear friend on Twitter.

‘CORRECT WAY OF COOKING NOODLES’
The
correct way to cook instant noodles without harming our bodies and
health. `Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles
into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for around 3 minutes and then it’s ready to eat.

This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles.

By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with
MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG
causing it to be toxic.

The
other thing that you may or may not realize is that, the noodles are
coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to
excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles.

CORRECT METHOD :

1. boil the noodles in a pot with water.
2. once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which contains wax.
3. boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire.
4.
only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very
hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle
soup.
5. however, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles and add the ingredient with the powder
and toss it to get dry noodles.

Dietician’s
Note: If you buy plain hakka noodles which you make initially need to
boil in water and discard the water. This will soften
the noodles
but to prevent it from sticking we need to add a tbsp of oil and also
the noodles are deep fried partially to make it crunchy and
then
dusted with flour to prevent it from sticking while boiling. Hence when
you buy the noodles they are already made unhealthy and this
is the
type we use to make stir fry noodles and the regular maggi too is made
the same way plus they add MSG/ ajinomoto and other chemical
preservatives.

Conserve Water - Use hot Water Loster http://blogs.rediff.com/janamtapitright/2009/08/05/conserve-water-use-hot-water-loster/ http://blogs.rediff.com/janamtapitright/2009/08/05/conserve-water-use-hot-water-loster/#comments Wed, 05 Aug 2009 02:45:21 +0000 Laughing Happily Have you ever given a thought as to how much water is wasted while having a bath?   You may feel that you do not let the shower run for too long, but if you were to calculate the amount of water actually running down the drain you would be shocked. This does not mean that one should not have a shower bath, but what should be ensured is that no unnecessary amount of water is let to run down when you are not actually utilizing it.

During the winter months when you use hot water for a bath, you have to let the water run  for a while before the hot water starts flowing, as the water in the pipes is normally cold and it takes a while for the hot water from the geyser to reach the shower. I was wondering how to tackle this problem and conserve water, when I came across a hot water valve called hot water lobster.

.  This is a device which helps you save water by resorting to hot water recirculation. The instant you open the tap, you get hot water in your shower. You do not have to wait for the cold water to drain off before the hot water starts flowing.

Use of Hot water lobster can help you conserve hot water and get you instant hot water when you want to have a bath. If there are 3-4 people in your home it will result in huge saving of water which will not be permitted to flow down the drain.
