 Sambit was having a really tough time as a supervisory head of  valuers for the 10^th class final Board Exam .He has to reach at the center first at 7 am but has to leave at the last ,sometimes at 10pm; eventhough the time schedule is 10am to 6pm.Because he has to tally all the exam papers ,seal them, allot diff code numbers, sometime verify the already exmined paper so that any mistake could be detected, have a vigil on the teachers so that no unwanted or illegal practice would  take place. This was his first supervisory duty.

He himself also have to be careful ,as persons should not approach him for any recommendations.really these things scares him. Who knows , some body will give some roll number & inform police, cbi or Media !He has already instructed wife MEENA to keep it secreat about his posting .But ladies you know how much secreat they can keep only GOD knows !

                                                                   During the valuation of papers one used to come across so many funny incident. Like somebody copying the entire question paper, somebody writing other subjects,somebody requesting examiners to give more marks etc.etc. During tea break all these topics used to come up .

  Today one lady teacher came up with a letter which was kept inside the exam paper " A note if you fail me in this sub I shall sucide , as this is my 3^rd chance..i cannot show my face to others" .Sambit told  "see whether the student has written to get pass mark or not,see whether u can help to stop sucide" ? The teacher nodded & went away . Somebody remarked..these are common thing sir ;if we try to help these kind of fellow , all will come up with sucide note. A laugh rite went inside the room.

Sambit went into flashback ..23 years back..he was  a teacher & for the first time he was valuing exam paper for 10^th final board exam. In one MATHMETICS paper some girl student has written "SIR, MY MARRIAGE HAS BEEN FIXED.IF I SHALL NOT PASS THIS TIME I MAY NOT ABLE TO MARRY.ALREADY MY FATHER HAS TOLD THAT I AM 10^TH CLASS PASS .I AM KEEPING THIS 100 Rs NOTE FOR YOU .THIS IS NOT  A BRIBE A TOKEN OF LOVE FOR HELPING A NEEDY GIRL .ALREADY SEVEN ALLIANCES HAS BEEN BROKEN DUE TO MY QUALIFICATION.YOU ARE MY GOD  ;BELIEVE ME IT IS MY POCKET MONEY WHICH I HAVE SAVED" 

Sambit did not know what to do that time; somehow he felt pity for that girl he himself  wrote few answers & gave pass mark to that imaginary to be married girl & kept that 100Rs note as souvenir which had a rose flower drawn on it. Till now that 100Rs note is inside his moneypurse.Till now he did not know why he became emotional that time .

Sambit came back home & narrated the story to Meena ,what do you think ?Really that person will sucide if he fails ?

                                               "Arre baba, why you are so emotional ? if somebody dies for his fault ,why are  you  bothered ?But I am telling you  my own experience ; In my 10^th exam I had done very badly in math. So I  kept a 100 Rs note  & had  written that if I will not pass my marriage will break. I was in village school..Some greedy foolish teacher has taken the money & given me pass number".

I was really disgusted watching 'MARRIAGE OF THE CENTURY' ASH- ABHI 'S marriage. India is out of the world cup so no charm in watching cricket. You switch on any channel .its all ash- abhisek; so we have no other work than watching round the clock the nonvisible marriage. I reached home & asked my wife to give a cup of tea. "Just wait for a moment salman has just come in the blue bolero in the front seat can u see ?"replied my wife.

"Have the bachhans invited him ?u know he was having some chakkar with ash" ?asked Mrs desai; our neighbour.

"No, no ,amitabh has a big heart..he has acted in BABUL with sallu mian so they must have patched up"replied Mrs joshi of our flat see KAJOL & KARAN must be wearing MANISH MALHOTRA's outfit; see the colour & blouse, very trendy..i shall ask my hubby to bring this from mumbai ;next week he is going for a tour to mumbai said Mrs Desai.

My wife told me ,let my friends go, I shall prepare tea for u, or else I have to prepare for them also. Already 3 times they had snacks with tea; Today kitty was at our house.

Ohh..these useless kitty .;after half an hour ,all left. I switched on some news channel, changed again same picture in all the channels; Amitabh has not invited any of the channels to cover the marriage but why all these media crew making traffic jam infront of his house ?really it is miserable; He is paying the price of being SUPERSTAR & ash- abhi being beautiful ,successful actors. Oh god please help him & me I was shouting to myself .

Tea came.. it was without sugar.. "Ok baba, just drink it now see Abhisek on horse..so cute ?Why you did not come on a horse to marry me ? Why this was not in our tradition ? see so many people are watching ?"Mrs told me.

I was speechless. I did not know she is so much influenced by this marriage. It was really agonizing to drink sugarless tea &hearing praise of another MALE Abhisek !

Suddenly I asked her "Do u love Abhisek bachhan ?

She got a shock ..saw my face "Why are u angry ? I am not the only lady seeing this marriage or I am not the only fan ;when you watch Mallika serawat or Rakhi sawant , had I ever complain'? I did not reply to this trivia.

After five minutes fresh tea with usual beautiful smell was served to me. She was having a mystique smile on her face. YOU ARE MY "ABHISEK BACHHAN .do n't u know ?It was my wife at her best

 Bina was busy in doing puja,a regular thing in which she keeps hershelf busy for an hour or two everyday morning & evening.what else  she  will do ? widow like her ,whose only son is in USA, with family ,does not have much to do in the village.laxmi the maid was there to help her in household works & cooking.  shambhu the male help for outside works . Neighbours & relatives of the village KUSUPUR are very helpful & cooperative.Today Bina had planned to make mango pickles.

Laxmi had already made all the ness arrangements, like peeling the mangoes,cutting into diff sizes,arrangement of masala,jaggery,chillies,oil, earthen pots etc.Bina has to give the final touch only. PAPU ,her son is very fond of her hand made pickles,so does her daughter -in- law RITA. Children like muri,muan,fish curry,country cakes,dry mango chutney, & diff varieties of typical village items.From where they will get these kind of things in USA ?

Every year papu, along with his family comes for about one month to india ,out of that they go to his in-law & relative’s house for about 15 days.Hardly 10 days children stay with Bina in the village.some times she feels angry,but she knows her son & daughter in law are working as a doctors & they have some professional obligations too .she used to cursh her dead husband as to why he had allowed their  only son to go abroad. That time SAMEER ( her husband) had told her that their son will come back after six years & will serve in the village.That became a distant dream till now.

Papu joined as a doctor in USA & got married to Rita ,his colleague doctor.Before marriage, Papu had urged BINA so many times to stay in USA with him, but she had  told  that ,she would come only after his marriage; bcoz what she will do once papu will go to hospital ?bahu & children can give her a company & she will enjoy the stay.But till now she has not visited USA even if papu had two children :elder daughter Shilpi ( 6 years),son Jitu (2 years).

Last year Rita has brought tickets for Bina, & forced her to go with them;even grandchildren also shouted that they will not leave India without grandmother, But,papu …….Just stood like a rock,did not ask mother a single time to come.Instead he told “maa may have some problem with the climate?.Bina cried that whole night & avoided the trip in some other pretext.why shall she will go when his own son is not interested ?A deep anguish has filled? her heart. On previous occasions also Papu has some excuses or the other ;- like terrorist attack,cold,loneliness etc etc.

Bina has made up her mind not to go to USA until her son pleads or forces her to come.that is why she is not using the shawl brought by Papu & has kept it in the box as a protest.yesterday her brother’s son SIBU has come & he was forcing her to go with him to states.Her own son is keeping mum .

A crow is shouting on the thatched roof since morning.laxmi has given some rice to the crow,as it is believed some guest or a letter is on the way if crow is cawing .anybody will come or whether any letter will come ?who will write letter to bina ?every alternate days grandchildren or papu,rita used to call her over phone.That’s all the communication.So many times she could not understand the accents of her grand children.

Somebody has knocked the front door. ?Ma,postman has come. Was i not? telling ?? Yelled laxmi.may be money order from papu might have come(which she hates,she does not require money;but likes to be with? her children).?A LETTER FROM PAPU?? bina was surprised.

“ pranam.i knew you are angry with me as I am not bringing you to USA or not forcing you to come here like rita.the reason you may feel strange, but true for me as I feel.rita & me are working in different hospital’s.nobody stays here to look after children.here the babysitters (ayas)? ,maids, cooks are very costly.that’s why even rita cannot force her parents to stay here.In USA thousands of old parents are living just like caretakers of their children? home,babysitters for their grandchildren.I have seen them suffering ,felt their despairs,their untold agony through their dry eyes.So many of them miss their homes at India,some miss their partners & friends & relatives.here they feel captive.I don’t want my mother to go through all those things.i want my mom should come here like my mother, not like an aya.Now you decide;whether to come now or not. I am sending air tickets for you.never misunderstand me.’

Bina sat down for a moment on the varanda.There was a trace of tear in her eyes.It was of course tear of happiness,joy.She went inside,opened the box & took out the shawl which was brought by papu.she put that shawl around her body.She was feeling a different warmth.warmth of love & affection.she looked at the wall ,where photo of Sameer( her? husband )was mounted.She felt as if Sameer was smiling.

Somebody asked me, who is your IDOL ? It put me in a tough situation. Because I could not think of any one in particular. AN IDOL, whom you love to imitate, give respect, have a wish to meet him, to give him some gift, to have some communication, something to learn from , who has impressed you, somebody who has played a role which has changed your life, an icon . etc,etc ..bla, bla

Gandhi, Neheru , Tendulkar, Gavaskar, my school teacher, Sania mirza, Abdul kalam, Indira Gandhi, Pele,Amitabh, saharukh, .. the list went on & on.

Then I thought . I know these people . But do they know me ? Dose they feel any way as I feel for them ? of course I am not a man of that stature ;But still I have own space, thinking etc. An idol for me is "WHO CARES FOR ME,WHO VISITS ME, WHO WRITES TO ME, ENCOURAGE ME,WHO INVITES ME, WHO DROPS AT MY PLACE TO SAY HELLO, WHO CHEERS ME, WHO FEELS SAD WHEN I AM DOWN, WHO CORRECTS ME .. MOREOVER HE WHO INTRACTS WITH ME REGULARLY."

BCCI has woke up after the recent first round defeat of India. They have some modified plans(particularly advertisements) for the players & Indian cricket .. for betterment( hope it is true). The worst hit are our own players. Lets see what plans are there, in player's mind !

1)sachin tendulkar- I have long term agreements & it has been done before, so it has no effect on me. Even if board put a ban now on me, still no problem .. "mera to lifetime incom(ing) free hai. Restiction only for new outgoing adv.

2)sourav ' anyhow I do not have more than 2 contract in hand.so still I can have one more which will be denied by sachin\dravid.

3)yuvraj- for compensetion we have to charge 10 times more to the company.

4)vvvs laxman ' atlast I can have a add.

5)mohd kaif- I may get a individual chance for adv.

6)dravid- now we have to write coloums not in our name, but in our wife's name.

7)Ex players- now we may get some endorsement.

8)corporate houses ' now we can bargain for prices.

9)dhoni- I can do diff adv by going for plastic surgery, so that I will not be recognized.

10)BCCI ' Now we can know how much they are earning.

11)PAK players ' we are ready with 50% discount to endorse.

12)sehwag ' now people will forget my sixers, as I was hitting sixes only on adv.

13)COMMON public ' hope we will get some break from these advertisements .
