NANO CAR……NA /NO for me

Have you got the application form for NANO ?
“This is the 100th time you may be asking this question.I told you baba, i was really busy in the office for the last couple of days.any how i will get it & apply .So donot raise your blood pressure by asking the same question repetatively.”I replied to my wife.
She sat down near me & told quietly “I think we should not go for this NANO”
I thought i heard something wrong;because since the conceptual period of this one lakh Dream car ,like anyother middle class housewife ,she was after me to book the car immedietly.She has also offered many offerings to different gods if NANO will come to our house in the 1st allotment.
What was the sudden change of her mind ?Any safety related question?(but those things will not be considered by the avarage housewife).May be she is having other plan for the allotted money(Jewellery may be)
I asked ‘what is the reason for sudden decision change? But anyway i am not going to purchage any gold for you”…i made my view clear.
She broke her silence.’Actually out of 18 house in out lane 12 of our neighbours have applied for NANO.Five others are having other brand CARS.so they are not like us(BIKE RIDERS).We are the only house without car.But today i was shocked to know that SHANTHI BAI(our HOUSEMAID) has also applied for NANO .you know she has the plan to run as taxi for her husband, who is a auto driver.”
So that is the point!@#$.How come we will be in the same car as our housemaid ?EGO clash!!!!!
I was thanking god & shanthi bai for rescuing me from this unneccesary expenditure.I always say to my friends that my new car is my “BIKE”.it is comfortable & fuel efficient,easy to park.Most importantly there is no need for three of us for a car immidietly(thats why my wife call me car avoider)
So dear RATAN TATA……TA..TA for your car for the time being.who know my wife may change her mind. SO now NA /NO (both are negative) for NANO .
Next day morning before going to office she came to hand over my lunchbox & said”Darling i think we can go for OTHER brand car”.
With a smile i told her “Just cheak up what other cars SHANTHI BAI is having or applying for”……
