Shall we dance ?
i was really surprised to listen it from my better half. The recent reality programmes in tv channels like , “Jhalak dikh la ja ” ,” Naach baliye” must have something to do with my wife’s sudden passionate move; i thought.I was allways a big fan of bollywood dance, rock& roll etc. Now the terms SALSA, HIPUP,TANGO,CHACHACHA etc are not so allien words as we are listening these terms from the judges of the dance programmes.
Inside the hotel so many pairs are dancing vigorously with the tune( of course many pairs were seem to dance but actually they were unable to stand under the influence of liquor\wine).I could not resist the offer of my alter ego & took her to the dance floor.
We started to move slowly with little turn & twist .I was becoming passionate & was trying to remember our old college days .Then we started to move little faster ;suddenly somebody cried”Oh aunty, be careful with your move,you are stepping on my foot .” one girl made this remark for my wife.
This was really hurting…….AUNTY ???? May be she may call me UNCLE ! These HI-FI girls donot know how to behave ( I thought) I could see my wife was fuming eventhough she has already said ’sorry’.
Ofcourse needless to say we both have hurt our feet by wrong footwork & climbing on eachother’s foot.Anyhow she decided to show others that we can dance & we are the HOTTEST couple to win the DIWALI NIGHT’S Bumper prize.’Let us show that we can do it’ she told me.
We started gyrating in the tune of DJ .The hit song of SRK in the movie ‘OM SHANTI OM’ was going on. I felt myself like SAHRUKH & my wife seems like “DEEPIKA” to my eye.We danced & danced wildly in full mood…..Everybody else in the dance floor were stunned.
Suddenlly i made a summersault & took my wife in my hand & jumped in the air. BANG #* @ ! came the sound…we both have fallen down on the floor…everybody was clapping…We both were in TEARS….not of joy , but of accute pain…..she might have twisted her leg & i might have broken my BACKBONE.
AHHHH…..OHHHHH…”What happened” ?My wife was asking me. I just woke up & looked at my & my wife’s hand & leg. Everything was allright . I was just dreaming .
‘Any bad dream’? asked my wife.
No it was just ” DARD- E- DISCO”…..i replied.
