OPL(Odisha Premier League) , the new age 20-20 cricket tournament got off  to a extravaganza colourful, cheerful start at Barabati Stadium, cuttack.The first edition of Odisha Premier League (OPL) T20 cricket tournament  is in the line of  IPL .It is the brain child of OCA & present indian team’s manager Ranjib Bishwal.It is really a welcome step for the budding cricket talents of odisha.The innaguration was a lavish affaire with  cultural show and spectacular fireworks.

There are total 10 teams from all over Odisha & there will be 44 matches to be played under the flood light.There are brand ambassador for each team & with cheer leaders to encourage at the match venue, the spectators will have a great time .It was, however, the colorful march past by the teams that stole the limelight on the inaugural evening which was held under the floodlights of Barabati stadium. Leading the march past were 60 women cricket members of the state.

Popular super star of Odissa film industry Anubhav Mohanty, appointed as the brand ambassador of OPL, was present at the stadium with over 20,000 people present.The beautiful OPL trophy is made of five kg silver.At present OPL is worth 3.7 crores.The first edition of auction of the odia cricketers was a mix experience, as so many new faces came under the hammer, whereas some known experienced ranji players remained unsold.Hopefully in the comming years this tournament will grow further with respect to cricket spirit , talent & business.
Kudos to all who are associated with this & hope the 1st editin will not be the last edition or infight among the cricket officials & politicians & businessmen.Let people enjoy pure cricket.Let spirit of cricket rocks.

BUT CANNOT WE SMILE ON OUR OWN ?

SMILE IS THE WONDERFUL GIFT BY GOD TO US.WE CAN LAUGH ON OURSELVES.LAUGHTER IS LIKE A MIRROR,WE CAN SEE OUR IMAGE IN IT.NEVER CHECK YOUR SMILE.
