Nature Photography

Most of us think photography is all about capturing our uncles and aunties in some gathering or capturing models in their micro mini garments.

And there are some freaky people like me who consider automobiles too.

I’ve always been fascinated by those wonderful landscapes and lush greenery, nature has provided us with and always wanted to relish their beauty.

And that’s how Nature photography turned into my leisure pursuit.

I’ve often experienced this is-this-guy-sane?  Look by my folks when I tried to capture some clouds, trees or vegetation. And I believe there are a very few people who genuinely appreciate and like photography and one of them is my friend Anvesha who has always been interested in the pictures I managed to capture.

As per her wish I’m posting some random shots from my collection here and I’d like to dedicate this post to her and all my friends at iland ;-)

Please do leave your comments, so as to facilitate me to learn my mistakes and improve myself next time.

Valley of flowers? Can”t have enough of clicking photographs of nature. can”t have enough of nature and photogrpahs are but a very poor substitute. Still, it is a pleasure to glance at the images again, isn”t it? Don”t know much about photogrpahy though i love clicking away. I have posted some photos taken recently.

Beautiful, the valley pics were too good, a stream flowing, the narrow ways leading to a peaceful scenery still deeper, the greenery giving it a fluorescent look, feels as though its untouched by man and that’’s the best part. Even the lone boat floating on the river brings some kind of calmness in you. Capturing the clouds so beautifully is a technique & not possible until & unless you are an avid lover of beauty. The sun still trying to spread its brightness till its last moment has created a beautiful atmosphere around it. Thanks

Genuine appreciation of beauty can be done by one who has an eye for beauty n as they say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder the definition also changes with every individual.Nice post and I came to know about another facet of Anvesha’’s personality, thnx 4 that.

pictures like the 4th pic is hard to capture, because if u focus and meter for sky, the bottom portion will be too dark. if u focus and meter for the green portion, the sky may become overcast and the details of clouds will be gone. better not to divide the frame in exact center and follow “rule of third”(google it.. u”ll get wht it is) that will help you position your subject also. then before clicking, try to understand the light.. which is the light source, how is the shadow formed, if its any reflective subject like water, how the reflection is forming. if there is any action involved, like the picture of that monkeys. wait for the right time to click. and keep the subject in precise focus.. all the best friend.. thanks for the comments..have a wonderful day..

nice pics. made me rewind my memories wen i started clicking 2 yrs back. the same enthusiasm and passion was all i had… since you asked me for tips. i can suggest you to concentrate more on the composition and timing part. when you are composing, be sure wht all you include in the frame and what all you exclude in the frame. a problem i have faced when i started was that our full concentration will be on the subject, and we forget to see what is in the background, it is when we see it later that we realize, we have unwanted elements in the frame. same is the case with exclusion or omission of objects from the frame. practice some breathing exercises, coz u will need to hold your breath while clicking little long shutter shots without a tripod.. your slightest movement(even a breath) may give you a shaken picture..here one common problem i found is that, the horizon lines are not kept straight while clicking. plz try to avoid it. and try to focus out a striking subject in each frame.
