Just for you Deepika…
Dear friends, today i.e. 07th July is a very special day for my friend Deepika, this day she was supposed to post a very special blog on her iland, which was supposed to be dedicated to her love and also to her favorite cricketer Mahi as both of them coincidently celebrate their Birthday this day…
But due to some fellow ilanders, she has stopped writing at iland. So today, on this special day I take the opportunity to request her to come back and start writing at iland again and here is a little effort from all of us, to write a blog on her behalf for her love and Mahi which she always craved to do…
Reema - Few years back on this special day a boy was born in a small town of India. Though he was not blessed with any golden fortune but was gifted with an inner strength to fight all odds n carve out his own destiny. But he was blessed with another rare gift which till today even he is unaware of. A little girl was born a few years later just for him. So his success story is written by his hard work along with the tremendous love n belief of this little girl who has never remembered anyone else in her prayers more than him. His success, his failures are all an integral part of her life. Its a divine connection; its a love which is platonic n unconditional. It is beyond the boundaries of normal human emotions n understanding…
Its also a pleasant coincidence that Deepika”s prince shares his birthday with her favorite cricketer Mahi. So that calls for a double celebration. Deepika you left iland for Mahi, so today on his birthday day. We request you to come back once again and also for the person you love the most on this earth.
So wish that girl many happy returns of this day when her prince was born to conquer the world and wishing her prince a very happy birthday with all success in life….
Neha - Deepika has said goodbye to this Iland? Oh dear Deepi!! Though I respect your decision but somewhere down the heart I am disappointed that I”ll not get to read your splendid blogs now. You are famous on this Iland for your secret love and your innocent behavior of making other star. To be specific you made your love STAR of your blogs. Your blogs represents your secret love as a personality who adores all. He is worthy of all praise and admiration. You are not here now but your write ups will always remain alive on Iland. No one can ever forget Deepi n her love. Deepika, I wish that your HIM always remains happy and can achieve all what he wants to…No doubt your wishes are with HIM but I promise, your friend Neha will also contribute in your prayers for his success. The more the people are with HIM, the more he will achieve great heights. Isnt it??
Anvesha - Deepi we would love to see u again on the iland. Do post something n these stupid problems with comments keep creeping up often n if you simply get annoyed n decide to leave iland, its going to be everyones loss. And moreover my Bhai is waiting for your posts too. As today is MS Dhonis Birthday and coincidently even my Bhais, we thought of posting this to request you to come back. You have promised me that u would never ignore mine or my Bhais request. So its our request… please come back Deepi we are really waiting for your posts its never going to be as wonderful as it was for us if u dont change your decision$
Rakhee - Neel jwaley dhire dhire bhirlo teere noukaa ti ,Dwaar

Rajeshkumar - He is the love of her life but he knows it not.
He is her idol but he listens to her prayers often not. He lived once in a home
near her”s but now he lives inside her heart. He studied in the same classroom as
her but does he still remember it or not?
He makes her laugh, cry and smile but he ever finds time for her or not?
He inspires her to write while she holds the torch for him.
He holds his fort when there is a miss, will she too overcome these hidden truths?
He didnt bid adieu, so will she be back after making adieu a small break of rest?
He has just brought smiles to our faces but will she smile and write again?
He was born in the months of rains, she cries for him in lonely days.
He was born today to bring us fame,Deepika has to finally write for us on this day….will you???
Wishing Deepika happiness on a special occasion. May he be the reason to write something again ESP TODAY.
SURE HE CANNOT LET EVERYONE OCCUPY THE FOUR CHAMBERED HEART OF HIS, DUE TO SPACE CONFINES but Deepika he is in your heart growing fatter each day…… ask him not to put on weight s coz he occupies your arties and ventricles……that is why you have to be BAADE DIL WAALI…. SO DO SHED SOME
ANGER AND SMILE COZ TODAY IS DAY WHEN YOU AND HE CAN SMILE…..and inspire the world around.
Pradeep - Deepika, I thank god I”m rich, not with money but with people like you. I may not have the most expensive things but I”ve got a most precious gem, a friend like you. Proud to be the part of association we share with each other Deepika. God bless you and all your near and dear one. These are a few lines Ive jotted down for your love
Dua hai Ki Kamyabi ke har sikhar pe aap ka naam hoga,
Aapke har kadam par duniya ka salam hoga,
Himmat se mushkilon ka samna karna hamari dua hai,
Ki waqt bhi ek din aapka gulam hoga. Happy Birthday!!!
Karthik - Deepika, you were supposed to post your best post this day but due to certain circumstances you could not. So here is a try from all of us on your behalf. Please do come back to iland and start writing again as promised. We are always with you in your ups and downs of life, always there to hold your hands when you fall and support you when need us. So never try to bear the pain alone. Wishing your love a very happy birthday and all the very best in his future Endeavors and same applies to Mahi too… hope we were able to put the smile back on your face, which we have not been perceiving since almost a week now… Always keep smiling Deepika…
And I”d like to end this Dillogical post in same fashion as Deepika usually does. I.e. by writing a few line of a song which corresponds to the situation, and so here is the song for you Deepika
Musu Musu Hasi, Due Malai lai, Musu Musu hasi Deu…
Zara Muskura De, Muskura De, Zara Muskura De, Aye Kushi…
Gham Baat Le Tu Apne, Humse Tu Le Hansee , Ho Gaye Hum Ab Tere, Tu Ho Gayee Apni…

Weekend idea - Bird-watching
Finally it was Saturday morning, a weekend Holy day (holiday) when I could give some time to myself and have my own schedules.
It was around 10 Am when I was lying on my bed, wondering how to make this day interesting when the brainstorm of bird watching occurred to me, No more thinking, what could be better than sitting at a distance and watching birds?
So I raced to BHARATH MALL, which is supposed to be one of the 3 best shopping malls at M”lore where lots of love birds, migrating birds, seasonal birds and other types of birds go shopping.
It was around 10:45 when I reached the mall and there were only a few love birds to be seen around and that's when I realized that it was Saturday and birds will be around only after 2 Pm.
I had to kill sometime, so the next thing in my mind was books and there I was in Bookmark hunting for some nice books and finally settled upon a book on forensic Science which captured the interest of Dexter in me. I was going through the book for some time when, I sensed danger.
That's when I noticed Bhavana, a college mate of mine shopping at the opposite music store.
I knew it was time to slip away else I-d be seen carrying her shopping bags around the mall till evening for no reason, I hurriedly bought the book (BTW till date I don't know why I bought that book) and slipped towards the elevator and found some relief once I reached the parking lot.
I sensed the weather was not too good for bird watching and so the only other option would be a good movie
But movie and without friends? Na!
So, called up my friends but none of them had off on sat… So the only other choice was to settle down on a DVD and so called up a movie buff friend of mine and asked her to suggest some good movies.
But my stars were not at place and she was in a mood for pranks and she said she’d get back to me with some movie names after a quick thought…
She messaged me some movie names after some 283 seconds and I rented those DVDs blindly from a CD store nearby with a drink and some eatables to munch along while watching the movie and raced towards home.
As soon as I reached home, I tossed the DVD into the player and started watching the movie relaxing on the sofa, 15 minutes went by and I dint understand a damn scene, half an hour and still no clue on what's happening.
Finally I took out the DVD, it was titled as DRONA, cool I still have 2 more to go, convincingly I blabbered to myself, while flipping the second DVD, it was named TASHAN and again back to square 1, I dint understand a damn scene.
Cursing my idea to take her advice, I inserted the third DVD named DEV-D and started watching and within the next 20 minutes I knew taking her suggestion was the biggest mistake I could have ever done.
Even politicians might not have committed enough sins to be watching all these 3 movies at a time, I must have committed bigger sins I thought.
The movies she suggested were too good for me to digest and just because I brought them I watched them with an interval of 30 minutes (for relaxing) for every 30 minutes of movie and hence I ruined my weekend in a wonderful way…
And now it was time for revenge, I wanted her to know how it felt to have a ruined weekend, I returned those DVDs, brought the original versions of all the three brain blasters, as a bonus added 1 more DVD GULAL on a trusted friends review
Packed them all in a neat gift wrapper and gifted it to her on her B-day which was 2 weeks later.
Hope she had a great time and an unforgettable B’day
Moral: St Agnes girls are very dangerous and never follow their suggestions/Advice blindly…
This post to be taken light-heartedly and doesn't target to offend anyone, NOT even the movie makers of the above movies…
And if anyone of you have watched any of these movies, please tell me what it Is about, I'm still in the process of trying to understand the story of TASHAN and DEV-D

Kindness pays
He almost didn”t see the old lady, stranded on the side of the road. But even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help.
So he pulled up in front of her BMW and got out.
Even with the smile on his face, she was worried.
No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so.
Was he going to hurt her?
He didn”t look safe; he looked poor and hungry.
He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold.
He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you.
He said, “I”m here to help you, ma”am.
Why don”t you wait in the car where it is warm?
By the way, my name is Sunil.”
Well, all she had was a flat tyre, but for an old lady, that was bad enough.
Sunil crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two.
Soon he was able to change the tyre. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.
As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him.
She told him that she was from a city 50kms away and was only just passing through. She couldn”t thank him enough for coming to her aid. Sunil just smiled as he closed her trunk.
The lady asked how much she owed him.
Any amount would have been all right with her.
She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped.
Sunil never thought twice about being paid.
This was not a job to him.
This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.
He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Sunil added, “And think of me.” He waited until she started her car and drove off.
It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.
A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe.
She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home.
It was a dingy looking restaurant.
The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress who owned it came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn”t erase.
The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude.
The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger.
Then she remembered Sunil.
After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a 1000 rupee note. The waitress quickly went to get change for her 1000 rupee note, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back.
The waitress wondered where the lady could be.
Then she noticed something written on the napkin.
There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote:
“You don”t owe me anything. I have been there too.
Somebody once helped me out, the way I”m helping you.
If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.” Under the napkin were four more Rupee 1000 Notes.
Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day.
That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it?
With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard. She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low,
“Everything”s gonna be all right. I love you, Sunil.”
There is an old saying “What goes around, comes around..” Good friends are like stars….You don”t always see them, but you know they are always there..
PS: This Forward was sent to me by a fellow ilander.

Friendship
In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in high esteem. One day one fellow met the great philosopher and said, “Do you know what I just heard about your friend?”.
“Hold on a minute,” Socrates replied.
“Before telling me anything I”d like you to pass a little test.
It”s called the Triple Filter Test.”.
“Triple filter?”.
“That”s right,” Socrates continued.
“Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filter what you”re going to say.
That”s why I call it the triple filter test.
The first filter is Truth.
Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?”
“No,” the man said, “actually I just heard about it and…”.
“All right,” said Socrates.
“So you don”t know if it”s true or not.
Now let”s try the second filter, the filter of Goodness.
Is what you are about to tell me about my friend something good?” .
“No, on the contrary…”.
“So,” Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something bad about him,
but you”re not certain it”s true.
You may still pass the test though, because there”s one filter left: the filter of Usefulness.
Is what you want to tell me about my friend going to be useful to me?”
“No, not really.”
“Well,” concluded Socrates, “if what you want to tell me is neither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?”
We can always have loose talks to curb our boredom.
But when it comes to your friends its not worth it. avoid talking behind the back about your near and dear friends.

Secret of Monks
A man is driving down the road and breaks down near a monastery. He goes to the monastery, knocks the door, and says, My car broke down. do you think I could stay the night?
The monks graciously accept him, feed him dinner, and even fix his car. As the man tries to fall asleep, he hears a strange sound; a sound like no other that he has ever heard.
The next morning, he asks the monks what the sound was, but they say, We can”t tell you. You”re not a monk.
The man is disappointed but thanks them anyway and goes about his merry way. Some years later, the same man breaks down in front of the same monastery.
The monks again accept him, feed him, and even fix his car. That night, he hears the same strange mesmerizing sound that he had heard years earlier.
The next morning, he asks what the sound was, but the monks reply, We can”t tell you. You”re not a monk.
The man says, All right, all right. I”m dying to know. If the only way I can find out what that sound was, is to become a monk, how do I become a monk?
The monks reply, you must travel the earth and tell us how many blades of grass there are and the exact number of sand pebbles. When you find these numbers, you will become a monk.
The man sets about his task. Some thirty-seven years later, he returns and knocks on the door of the monastery. He says, have traveled the earth and devoted my life to the task demanded and have found what you had asked for. There are 452,456,751,284,232 blades of grass and 681,461,281,987,645,785 sand pebbles on the earth.
The monks reply, Congratulations, you are correct and now you are a monk.We shall now show you the way to the sound.
The monks lead the man to a wooden door, where the head monk says, the sound is behind that door.
The man reaches for the knob, but the door is locked. He asks, May I have the key?
The monks give him the key, and he opens the door.
Behind the wooden door is another door made of stone. The man requests the key to the stone door.
The monks give him the key, and he opens it, only to find a door made of ruby. He demands another key from the monks, who provide it. Behind that door is another door, this one made of sapphire. And so it went until the man had gone through doors of emerald,….silver, topaz, and amethyst.
Finally, the monks say, This is the key to the last door.
The man is relieved to no end..
He unlocks the door, turns the knob, and behind that door he is astonished to find the source of that strange sound. It is truly an amazing and unbelievable sight.
But I can”t tell you what it is because you”re not a monk.
DONT BE MAD AT ME; I”M STILL HUNTING FOR THE IDIOT WHO SENT THIS TO ME

Recycling
The first piece of paper as we know it was produced from rags in AD 105 by Tsai Luin, who was part of the Eastern Han Court of the Chinese
Emperor Ho Ti
Paper is required and used for anything and everything one can think of. With hundreds of final uses, paper satisfies many important human needs. In fact, it is an integral part of everyday life. The technological advance with computers and photocopiers has increased the consumption and wastage of paper. it is said that Indian consumption of paper is five kilograms per capita, with an expected growth rate of 6-7% per annum over the next five years.
By using paper carelessly, we contribute to the depleting forest cover, drastic climate change and water pollution.
For every ton of paper, the paper industry guzzles up 2.8 tons of dry timber and 24,000 gallons of water, besides electricity and other resources.
Pulp and paper industry is a major contributor in terms of air and water pollution.
Recycling of paper not only saves trees and minimises pollution, but also reduces the waste problem by utilizing waste material like used paper, cotton rags and unwanted biomass.
Papers could be recycled in many creative ways…
For instance consider the boy in the video below… (Just Kiddin)
on a second thought not a bad idea either…
One woman added seeds to her paper, and made cards, which she stamped with ink for different occasions. Once the card is read, it could be planted. The instructions for this was included on the card. So now you solve two problems, what to do with the now unwanted paper, and filling up our landfills with more trash.
Oh wait, maybe you end-up solving three problems…you just saved another tree.So its never too late to start recycling, please do recycle your paper wastes…

The Woman in your life
Someday you may get a working woman, but you should marry her with these facts as well.
Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are; who is earning almost as much as you do.
One, who has dreams and aspirations just as you have because she is as human as you are.
One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your Sister haven't, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements.
One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as much as you do for 20-25 years of her life.
One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family name.
One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day #1, while you sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen.
One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more, and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother, a wife, even if she doesn't want to; and is learning just like you are as to what you want from her; and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that you won't like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you.
One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy, unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities.
One, who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met.
One who gives up her career, ambition, aspiration when she realizes that she is required more at home to attend the needs of her family.
One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important, relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her sometime and trust her.
One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house - your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it.
But not many guys understand this…..
Please appreciate “HER”, I hope you will…

Window of life
A young couple moves into a new neighborhood.
The next morning, while they are having breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging her wash outside.
“The laundry is not clean”, she says, "She doesn't know how to wash.Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.”
Her hubby looked on, but remained silent.
Every time the neighbor hangs her wash to dry, the young woman would make the same comments.
About a month later, the woman was surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and said to her hubby,
“Look! She has learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this.”
The husband said,”I got up early this morning n cleaned our windows!”
And so it is with life:
“What we see when watching others depends on the purity of the window through which we look.
Before we give any criticism, it might be a good idea to check our state of mind and ask ourselves if we are ready to see the good rather than to be looking for something in the person we are about to judge.
