At times we encounter the question Does God exist?I think the following story which I read recently would give you an answer..
A man went to a barber shop as usual to get a hair cut.
As always he and the barber entered into a good conversation on various but interesting topics.
Suddenly ‘God’ became the subject of their talk.
The barber said,”Look sir,I don’t believe that God exists”.
Why do you say that?customer asked.
‘hey,you go to any street,then you would believe that there is no GOD,If God exists,do you think would there be so many sick people around you?
would there be any suffering and pain?The barber justified his point.
The customer thought for a while and did not say anything for he did not want to start any argument.The barber finished his job and the customer got out to the street.
He saw a man there with long hair and a beard that was very long as well.one could not tell since when he stopped taking any haircut…It was that long…He also looked very dirty and unkempt.
The customer went back to the barber s
hop and told the barber,”you know,
barbers do not exist’.
How can you say they don’t exist?I am here and I just worked on you..
asked the surprised barber.
No,’barbers do not exist,’ ,,If they exist,would there be people with long hair and beard around us like the one you see outside”The customer exclaimed !!
‘Ah, barbers do exist,what happens is that such people do not come to them”..The barber explained..
”Exactly,affirmed customer,’That’s the point,GOD does exist.What happens is people don’t go to HIM and not look for Him.That’s why there is so much of suffering and hardship in this world today”
The customer left the shop happily..
Yes Friends…
Go to Him and Look for Him..
