The Road Not Taken
Posted in Religion on 10/30/2007 12:13 pm by nitha MohanTo My Dearest Star Kid I was watching the evening sky, Monsoon declared its withdrawal, Keeping way for the sky to be clear, And the sun started its majestic descent, Rather hastily towards horizon, With shyness moon peeped out, From the cotton wool clouds up there, With her star kids moon entered in the sky, Creating a scintillating Persian carpet, Decorated with crystal shells, I was standing there enjoying , Yet another bewitching beauty of nature, And noticed one star kid away from the crowd, And I asked him" hi, what happened?" "Why ,not joining the others?" Tiny tot replied "No body likes me here" "Not even mamma Moon" I felt sorry for the star kid, "Coming with me?" I asked, Naughty one winked at me, "Come on babe, I will love you, like your mama" I tempted him with my pleasing manners, Tiny one twinkled again, " I don't have a son, can you be my son," Little one was bowled out fully, He giggled and started his journey towards me, I kept my hands stretched for him, He came and sat inside my palm, I kissed him on his cheeks, With care I took him inside and, My daughters started pampering him. I watched the trio, making fun, Around the corner, behind the door, Inside the kitchen, on the furry bed, Turning the entire home a paradise, But I warned him one thing, "Dear one keep away from Sun light" In the dawn he hide in the cabin, With mournful eyes, my daughters weighted, Eager for the sun to be down, Do come darkness, fast they prayed. Naughty star kid won our heart, With cheeky playful, funny manners, On my palms and in my lap, I lulled him with songs so sweet, Naughty star kid won our heart, With its loving, innocent charming ways Days and months and seasons passed, My star kid , became pet of all, One day he made us all to weep, By hiding some where known to none, Where my son you left us for, Back to the laps of your own mama, Your sis's are waiting can't you see, Their lovely cheeks are redden but, You never come back, made us weep, Starry nights we looked for you, But in vain you never turned up, Where you are my lovely kid? Twinkle once for us you dear, Just to make sure that you are safe, Wink at us once you dear, To make us sure that you are alive, Play once more that hide and seek, Coz your mom miss you a lot and more, Where ever you are my dearest son, Send me a message through the clouds, Your mom is waiting with withering heart, Full of warmth and love for you, Where ever you are my dearest one, Send me a message through the rain, Come back dear, at least once, Your mother has not seen you eyeful, She still waits with tiresome eyes, Till her sight start fading down. She is waiting endlessly till, The last breath leaves her body. ******************************ToMy Dearest Star Kid
