Being spiritual to me is being happy and only a healthy mind and body keeps one’s spirituality fit.

One does not overtly have to display religious beliefs to be spiritual. It lies in nature, people and everything around us.Following rituals doesnt make one spiritual. These are outer layers of a being, which has no connection to one’s spirituality.

God…….Spirit….resides in what lies beneath the skin. There’s a thin thread that binds spirituality and God and that is ‘ Faith’–faith that things will turn good and better in the end.Spirituality is in learning new things…its all about opening your mind, getting ready for change and discovering the world.

Taaron ki chamak yeh subaho talak,

Lagti hi nahi pal bhar ko palak
Pairon ke nishaan jab dekhe jahan,

Sau baar jhukaya sar ko wahan
Sirf ek teri aahat ke liye,

Kankad patthar butt saare soone
Tera saaya kabhi to bolega,

Main chunata raha parchaaiyan

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
“Well,” she said, “I think I will braid my hair today.”
So she did and she had a wonderful day!

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head. “Hmmm,” she said,
“I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today.”
So she did and she had a grand day!

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. “Well,” she said,
“today I’m going to wear my hair in a ponytail.”
So she did and she had a fun day!

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
that there wasn’t a single hair on her head.
“Yeah!” she exclaimed, “I don’t have to fix my hair today!”

Attitude is everything.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet
is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply - love generously - care deeply - speak kindly -
leave the rest to God.

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass………..
It’s about learning to dance in the rain.

~ dAwN’s PRoMiSe ~

A hazy sight of the misty field
Lit by dawn’s diffused gloaming
Lay wet and cool beneath the slow wind of night’s expiring breaths,
The deafening silence more felt than heard in the thick carpet
Of deadening mist.

For in the predawn mist there are no colors
Only the endless gray of dawn’s shadows
And the wet coldness causes one and all
To wrap themselves in the warm blankets of sleepy silence.

And then — a stirring?
A breath of air
So different from the night?
A hint of light?
The mists roll back, and sound begins to trickle
Like a shallow stream, over the bed of silence
And all over it all, a new day’s beam of light bathes the field
And the dew-wet green grasses glisten
With the promise of a new day.

God has sent the rain. She stands there at that moment more alive than she has ever felt and experiencing the rain for the first time as the amazing, beautiful, refreshing, cleansing and miraculous thing that it is.

Unwritten

I am unwritten, can’t read my mind, I’m undefined

I’m just beginning, the pen’s in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you

Open up the dirty window

Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance

So close you can almost taste it

Release your innovations

Feel the rain on your skin

No one else can feel it for you

Only you can let it in

No one else, no one else

Can speak the words on your lips

Drench yourself in words unspoken

Live your life with arms wide open

Today is where your book begins

The rest is still unwritten

I break tradition,

sometimes my tries,

are outside the lines

We’ve been conditioned to not make mistakes,

but I can’t live that way

Staring at the blank page before you

Open up the dirty window

Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

doN SaY a wORd plEzE!

A police officer pulls over a speeding car. The officer says, ” I clocked you at 80 miles per hour, sir.”

The driver says, “Gee, officer I had it on cruise control at 60, perhaps your radar gun needs calibrating.”

Not looking up from her knitting the wife says: “Now don’t be silly dear, you know that this car doesn’t have cruise control.” As the officer writes out the ticket, the driver looks over at his wife and growls, “Can’t you please keep your mouth shut for once?”

The wife smiles demurely and says, “You should be thankful your radar detector went off when it did.”

As the officer makes out the second ticket for the illegal radar detector unit, the man glowers at his wife and says through clenched teeth, “Damit, woman, can’t you keep your mouth shut?”

The officer frowns and says, “And I notice that you’re not wearing your seat belt, sir. That’s an automatic $75 fine.”

The driver says, “Yeah, well, you see officer, I had it on, but took it off when you pulled me over so that I could get my license out of my back pocket.”The wife says, “Now, dear, you know very well that you didn’t have your seat belt on. You never wear your seat belt when you’re driving.”

And as the police officer is writing out the third ticket the driver turns to his wife and barks, “WHY DON’T YOU PLEASE SHUT UP??”The officer looks over at the woman and asks, “Does your husband always talk to you this way, Ma’am?”

I love this part….
